It does happen, I suppose if you look at it this way, if he successfully manages to get anyone to join him then they really aren't the clan members you need round anyway.

I dealt with it a few times.
Ignore them. The people that go with them are usually whiny bitches anyway.

If anybody leaves, just be polite. Say goodbye to them in the nicest way possible, and remind them that if they ever find themselves without a clan in the future, that they'll always have a spot open for them in your clan.

Remind them that there is no hard feelings.

Why? Because whats true in real life, is as true in game life: Professionalism is the best way to keep mature personnel around.

After the new clan bombs out, you'll get 90% of your old members back.

its true, especially if the other person enticing them is saying these types of things behind your back, then when his clan goes wrong - cuz he doesnt seem like a nice person and clan members dont like him, they'll see what the left behind at ur clan

wow dairuka very very nice "guide"/tip-thing i aree with everything he has said (although it was a mission to read). Dairuka sounds like he knows what hes talking about, id listen to him ^^

(speaking of which, are you leader of =BFO= or just a member?)

Twice it has happened to ours, first time, one of the members was kicked out, and took a few with him, they didn't last very long I think.. had a TWL match and they didn't show.. 2nd exodus, another group, who played alot together, formed their own clan, then joined ESU (they're all at the top now afaik..), we had a good match against them, but that's about it. (and some other unfortunate incidents - but that's been resolved).

The same thing happens to other clans/guilds (seen it alot in Guild Wars), Dairuka is pretty much bang on, but people will be people and if they don't "click", there's going to be division.

LOL! yes! true true, this person had an argument in my current guild where unfortunately she got annoyed quickly with the guild and said

"Im going to go form my own guild with members that I like and then u'll see!!!"

(along those lines)

but ive not seen her/her new guild yet!

lol, same thing with my last guild bkr.. sounds like what she said (I wasn't there, gone for a long weekend), the leader of that one hasn't been on since..

I've co-founded only one guild on Lake Superior's Shard with the name Knights of Law (Anti-PK guild.)

They're still around today playing on World of Warcraft; although by a different name. (The Cabal.)

I'm not a founder, co-founder, leader, or officer in Battlefield Operatives.

In a sense, I'm not even a member; I'm merely an unofficial member.

They're my online friends; and I keep in touch with them even now.

Sadly, I'm just not cut out to be a clan member in any clan. I can't devote the time or effort needed to be a good member. So I simply donate to their server, and bug them occasionally on their forums.

awww - well i think they appreciate you all the more then =)

actually i kept leaving my clan and presuaded to rejoin and leaving and rejoining (for CS) till i told them this wont work as i dont have time to stay active enough and actually help the clan, i would not be able to make training etc. due to my other non-game related things.

its not fair on them.

you think im active here? its only because i am on holiday, most of my friends are busy in RL, so im active here, when i go back to uni (quite soon) i think my active-rate would go down alot... =(
