What exactly did you not like about these movies?? O_o You do realize they are meant as more of a comedy than something to be taken seriously, right?. "4-6 category"... No sir, you fail.

Don't get me wrong I like deep meaningful movies with a twisty storyline and phenomenal acting as well.. Crank is not meant to be that and doesn't even try to be that, it's sheer entertainment and it delivered me with non stop laughter and entertainment from beginning to end which is exactly its duty. Just like most movies Jason Statham is in.

10/10 for what it is t(^.^t)

P.S. Unless you're watching those romantic movies as an anchor to get some tail with a female companion you have just made a fool of yourself.. Unless of course you're watching "Legends of the fall" then move along xD

P.P.S!!! If you haven't seen Legends of the fall then you also suck D:<

            NO WAI!

A movie being watched to have lulz? Sure. But both as a comedy and as a cinematographical piece, theres no way the movie deserves a 10. Dont try to inject some logic into your argument. You and me both know that the movie is not perfect and you were just exaggerating. "4-6 category", I wasnt clear on that. Its score is 4-6 in my book. Now think about it, whenever movies or games are rated from 1-10, guess where the "awful" really starts at? 5. So most people are actually rating their movies 5-10. 4-6 is average/watchable. Or in 5-10 scale, 7.

And I love comedies. My favourite one is "Groundhog Day".

Crank is not meant to be that and doesn't even try to be that, it's sheer entertainment and it delivered me with non stop laughter and entertainment from beginning to end which is exactly its duty. Just like most movies Jason Statham is in.
Vast majority of Stathams good movies are only good because of an amazing supporting cast. Which is the reason why Transporter 2 and 3 sucked so much and Transporter 1 was so much better. I find your "logic" strange. If you rate your movies in a binary system (entertaining/not entertaining), then thats fine, it just makes little sense.

P.S. Unless you're watching those romantic movies as an anchor to get some tail with a female companion you have just made a fool of yourself.. Unless of course you're watching "Legends of the fall" then move along xD
How exactly? Im not limiting my taste in movies to anything. Im merely pointing out that if you claim an average action movie is "perfect", theres a flaw in your "scoring system". That doesnt exactly mean that if I happen to watch romantic movies or romantic comedies, that it would make me a fool. Im not limited to one genre merely because Im a man. I like to think that I have seen enough movies, from enough genres to know the difference between an "entertaining" and a "magnificent" movie. That might sound like something said by a "critic", who thinks mainstream popcorn flicks automatically suck, but in reality it just means that Crank is there to entertain you for 1.5 hours and thats it. Its not going to be memorable, it has its flaws and its far from perfect.

Everyone knows that the only movie to deserve 10/10 is Shawshank Redemption.

P.P.S!!! If you haven't seen Legends of the fall then you also suck D:<

They are all the same and very lame to the point I have to sometimes look away from the screen to avoid the embarrassment. I too like red gummi bears.

I wouldn't compare Crank to Shawshank, it would be a 4-5 in comparison to such a film.. I'm rating on the movie and its intention. It's intention? to entertain the f*ck out of me and make me laugh, did it do this? Hell yes! hence why I like it soo much and it also had lots of tits and one or two muff shots (I definitely saw some pubes and MAYBE a bit of slit?).. I find few things funny but for some reason this movie made me laugh quite a lot. Oh and a movie I believe to be on par with Shawshank redemption is The assassination of jesse james by coward Robert Ford (if you don't like that gtfo).. Everyone knows Brad Pitt is a legend among actors but until this film I never knew Cassey Affleck was also

Im not kidding you. Look at the best Statham movies and tell me what do you see?
Among the very few who have reached 7.0 mark on IMDB, they share one similarity, supporting cast. If you want to tell me that Statham makes otherwise ****ty movies good by being there, youve just proven my point. Hes not a great actor, his talent and reason of being in those movies is to beat **** up. Honestly, if you claim Transporter 3 or Ghosts of Mars is "good"...

                I find you strange D:

You seem to be stuck with an idea that I only watch movies I believe to be good. Ive seen all the good movies a long time ago, then rewatched them and watched them again after that. I watch some of the worst movies for very specific reasons. Hell, I remember I watched Ghosts of Mars (Statham) to see how he did in his early work. And I watched "Leviathan" alongside "Abyss" because I wanted to see how the not-to-popular movies did alongside the ones now seen as legends.

And I am throughly entertained when I watch my "terribad" movies. Ive grown to ignore the horrible and embarassing jokes, because I think that comedy is the most difficult genre to pull off'

I dont think TAOJJ is even close to Shawshank. Its created solely to impress the viewer with its visual side and a couple of emotional silent character interactions. I was really not impressed with it, at all.

As a lead role? I have to concur. But thats not saying much.
                          A) Its Guy Ritchies movie. The guy spends 2/3 of the movie to slowly build it up, so that it ends up being a borefest, while he tries to be as stylish as possible to differentiate himself from the Hollywood. I hate the guys work with a passion, and while I dont understand why people like his work so much, Im usually ignoring it as I tend to like a couple of movies majority doesnt. Matter of opinions.
                          B) Statham isnt really even seen in Snatch, and while he is, hes the same person in every one of those shots. No flare. And while most of Hollywood action movies dont have their main characters emotional range go past "pissed/ pissed-serious" (and its perfectly fine and works well most of the time), Snatch is seen by many as "not your standard Hollywood movie". Its kind of like Bioshock. It sucks as an FPS, but people are raving about it because its stylish and different. (now kill me)
                          C) Stathams generic wood-plank image is colourized and supported by a wide variety of characters and supporting cast. If you would take Statham out of Snatch, and replace him with someone else with an English accent and a mean look, the movie would still score 8.2 on IMDB

Dont take it as a jab or an attack. I really dont like Ritchies movies, except for Sherlock Holmes. Hes a lot like Paul W.S. Anderson. Give him a script and hell make the movie work. Ask him to write one and direct it, and hell come up with something strange. But Paul W.S. Andersons scripts are a complete and utter garbage, while Ritchies obviously connect well with the audience, otherwise he wouldnt score over 8.0+ with two of his movies.

I liked Statham in The Italian Job*. I wont switch the channel if a movie is on where he stars, I like quite a few of the movies hes in.

I'll have to agree to disagree, because I think the acting was just as good in TAOJJ as it was Shawshank (I'm a VERY big fan of both).. Movies are much like music, people get different things from it and see it in a different perspective to some. Just like I hate LOTR while 98% of the human population seem to love it. But, that being said I also love Brad Pitt and believe him to be the greatest actor alive (flame me b*tch).. His performance in TAOJJ was incredible, despite not having a massive talking role he seemed to be able to convey his message/feelings clear as day. It's not an easy task to do.

I remember being able to feel the tension in the assassination scene where Robert Ford leaves the room after Jesse reads out the article in the paper. Not only then but all the way through the entire 3 hour movie you can literately feel the emotion between the characters. Cassey Affleck delivered a performance which I think was grossly underrated. He became a true actor in this movie and handled his role better than anyone else and imo even outshining Brad Pitt in many a scenes. Whether you like the story or theme shouldn't put a bad stigma on the incredible performances by the actors.

No question here. I was merely saying that the movie tried too hard to impress the viewer by being a "pretty picture". In the end, theres no afterthought, no message. Its kind of like watching a documentary. Frankly, the movie was boring. And I too think Brad Pitt is a talented actor, but far from the best. Arnold Schwarzenegger has that position covered.
