Just like I hate LOTR while 98% of the human population seem to love it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying i hate the LOTR films, but i consider them mediocre, If it wasnt for the the fact the books are the father of all fantasy/an epic saga, the films would be just another 'fantasy action'.

As for Brad Pitt, he can be brilliant in a film, if the part suits him (i suppose this can be said for all actors) but there are some appearances that stand out, such as fight club, which I think, to this day is an absolute masterpiece.

On the subject of the 'last film i watched' Postal, Never played the game, but it was awesome, Especially Uwe 'I ruin films/games' Boll being shot in the bollocks.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has that position covered.

I have to agree with Chris here, I mean, How can you not love the one liners, and the emotion he puts into films.

I loved Arnold as a kid (last action hero was my fav ^-^), but he is no where near the actor Brad Pitt is.. Everything Brad touches turns to gold. He can pull off multiple roles where as Arnold can pull of action flicks. That's not saying he's a bad actor, just not a diverse one like Brad.

Yeah because Chris said so, stop blowing smoke up his *** and have an opinion.. Arnold the best actor? you gotta be kidding or high. I could name at least 15 actors who stomp allover Arnold when it comes to acting abilities. Arnold is still one of my fav movie stars but he is by no means the or even one of the best.

What? Are you serious? Two generations have grown up with Arnold. Some of his movies were legendary even before they came out. T2 was such a major event, that there has not been a summer like when it came out. Thanks to his talent, he became a governor. Theres not a single movie or an act (ignoring the marriage with Jolie) which Brad has that would rival it. Not to mention that Pitt cant match an Oscar and 3 nominations!

T2 was big because it was WAY ahead of its time and was just f***ing awesome.. Yes Arnold is a legend I'm not denying that, he is one of my all time favs and always will be. I love every single one of his movies but there is no way he is a better actor than Brad Pitt.. Better action hero? hell he's the best action hero to ever live and no one will ever beat him. But acting alone? he's not on Brad Pitts level..

I have no clue what awards Brad has or Arnold and I honestly don't care as it's all VERY opinionated. Imo they are too different to compare, it is like comparing a cyclist to a runner.


Edit: actually I think the Arnold movie I watched the most as a kid was the one where his daughter gets kidnapped and he has to go save her.. Best scene when he crashes through the armory and loads up with weaponry

Everything I said about TAOJJ, I meant it. I dont think its a spectacular movie, but I do recognize the acting in it.

And "Legends of the fall" is on my "definitely to watch" list, I just have to get "The devil wears Prada" out of my way first as I feel obligated to see whats that trash all about. Dont shoot me. :laugh:

I just watched "The Forbidden Kingdom", a movie with Jet Li AND Jackie Chan in it.. nothing in film has made me happier :'(
