think about it, the BF2 boosters werent steam related... And EA still charged for them. Im pretty sure if Valve were in charge they would give them for free. Im pretty sure with the older CoDs they were internally whining when they couldnt compete with mods, its more the fact that mods are no longer possible which makes them charge for "Expansions"

I bet those maps were just released because everyone was all like "This aint map packs!!!! these are the same maps just different modes!!!! give us actual new free maps to play on!!" ... and so they released some maps ported from the singleplayer so that people wouldnt brag so mutch

... what? They were new maps, and they probably planned to do all that for awhile. Sure its somewhat bull, but who cares. You guys get worked up about nothing. Just have fun with what you got.

The new maps were more like the old BF than anything else in BC2... Oasis and Harvest Day are two of my favorite maps. Heavy Metal is just as much fun as the rest too.
