PC users that prefer to use Steam have a good reason to celebrate today as World War Z is finally available on a platform that isn't the Epic Games Store (still gonna post my affiliate link though). Today, World War Z: Aftermath is out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and for the first time ever on Steam.

Epic Online Services Launches New Cross-Play Tools

Now PC players can play with other PC players.

Epic Online Services is a new toolset announced by Epic Games today. The Epic Online Services allows games to "unify player communities for all developers." That is to say, it now allows games that were "exclusive to the Epic Games Store to play nice with games that then come out on Steam at a later date.

Outside of games like Borderlands 3, which makes use of their own back-end, multiplayer games released...

Get World War Z for Free for a Limited Time

Great game at a great price.

For a limited time, you are able to acquire one of the games I considered to be one of the best games released in 2019 for absolutely free. Through the next week until April 2, you can get World War Z for free through the Epic Games Store (affiliate link, but it's free so...?).

World War Z is a co-op shooter developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. It is inspired by the movie of the same name, which itself is...

A second season of content outlined in new roadmap.

Saber Interactive just released a new roadmap of free content coming soon to World War Z. This roadmap offers a look at what players can expect in the months ahead for the still fairly popular zombie filled co-op shooter.

Some of the new content includes two new story missions set in Moscow and New York, an entirely new zombie type, crossplay support, a horde mode, and more. Today's news about a new season of content comes...

The Proving Grounds update is out today for World War Z. This update offers up more free content for those that own the game, but marks the final free content drop for this "first season." Plans are already in the works for another season of content. From the trailer, it seems as though things like Horde mode, new maps, and more are planned for Season Two.

    Tim Willits Joins Saber Interactive

Former id Software director joins World War Z studio.

Just last month, Tim Willits announced that he was parting ways with id Software after the end of QuakeCon. Well, QuakeCon has come and gone, and sure enough Tim Willits departed the studio just as he said he would. It wasn't yet clear where he would end up. All we knew at the time is that he was going to stay active in the industry.

Today, the mystery was lifted as it was announced that Willits is joining Saber Interactive...

World War Z 'The Undead Sea' Content Update is Out Now

I wonder if the rhyme was intentional.

The first major content update for World War Z was released today for all platforms (PS4, XB1, and PC). This content is called "The Undead Sea" and it introduces a new mission set in Tokyo aboard a ferry filled with plenty of the living dead. You will fight through open decks and tight cabins in what they're calling the "most intense challenge yet."

This update also introduces a new zombie type. This one will spit...

World War Z to Receive Post-Launch Content as Game Sales Surpass 1 Million

World War Z is the latest, and some may say greatest, co-op shooter that places you and three of your friends against massive hordes of the living dead.

World War Z has also apparently sold quite well, having sold over 1 million units in its first week of being on sale on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store (yep, it's an affiliate link). As such, you may expect that the game will be receiving some fresh content in the months ahead and you'd be correct....

World War Z Boasts Over 1 Million Units Sold Across All Platforms

In its first week of launch, Saber Interactive's World War Z has sold over 1 million units. This sales milestone is cumulative across all of its available platforms, which currently include PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Curiously, there are no solid figures that break down exactly how many units per platform were sold. However, Saber Interactive does seem to praise the "tremendous support of the Epic Games Store."

    As we have talked about...

World War Z the Game Based on the Movie Based on the Book is Out Today

If you have a hunger for brains some co-op zombie shooting, you may be happy to hear that World War Z is out today. This four-player co-op title will probably invoke some feelings of deja vu as you take on a ton of undead swarms as you make your way through each level. What I'm trying to say is that fans of Left 4 Dead will probably want to check this one out.

The game is, of course, inspired by the movie of the same name, which is inspired by the book of the same name. World War Z...
