The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games is starting to gain a bit of traction as of this past week. According to GI.biz, Valve CEO Gabe Newell has been ordered by the court to attend an in-person deposition regarding the case.

Wolfire's Antitrust Lawsuit Against Valve is Back On

Wolfire's amended lawsuit is given the greenlight by the court.

In April 2021, Wolfire Games filed a lawsuit against Valve. The lawsuit claimed that through Steam, Valve somehow suppresses the competition. The lawsuit was dismissed in November 2021 because it failed to meet necessary standards for the court. Wolfire had 30 days to amend their complaint and refile it. They did just that and a judge has now ruled that the case may move forward.

Valve is facing yet another lawsuit. This time they are dealing with an antitrust case coming in the form of a class action lawsuit that was filed in Washington this week. The lawsuit claims that Valve, by way of Steam, suppresses competition.
