The Ascent Update Fixes Bugs and Adds Missing Features to Game Pass Version

The Game Pass version is now much closer to the Steam release.

The isometric RPG The Ascent was updated this week on PC for both the Windows Store version and the Steam version. The Windows Store version was given a much more substantial update if only because it was lacking features at launch that the Steam version already had included. For example, the Windows Store version lacked features like ray tracing and DLSS support.

Thankfully, developer Neon Giant has been working...

Horror Game Scorn Announced as Xbox Series X Exclusive

Begun the next-gen exclusive wars have.

Indie developer, Ebb Software, announced that it's upcoming first-person horror title, Scorn, will be exclusive to the Xbox Series X. From the sounds of it, this is a timed exclusive so it's not quite as bad as it may otherwise be. Scorn was shown off earlier in the day on May 7 when Microsoft held the first of their Xbox 20/20 showcases.

A firm release date for Scorn wasn't yet announced. However, the studio says that the game will...

    Final Review: We Happy Few

    A fleeting Joy.
The other week, I put up a review in progress for We Happy Few. For the sake of simplicity, I left that intact below this "final" review section up top here. So, how did We Happy Few fare given the extra time I spent with it? Not well. Not well at all. As the hours continued on, the love affair I had with the game started to chip away. At first it was just a minor annoyance when I would run into issues like poor A.I., but it became harder and harder to ignore. T...

Report: 98% of PC Copies for Rise of the Tomb Raider Sold Through Steam

Remember how Rise of the Tomb Raider came out on PC months after the Xbox release? Remember how it was available only through Steam or the Windows Store and it was Microsoft's first "big" push for the Windows 10 Store? Er, well... it didn't really work out too well for the Windows Store.

Hidden in a Kotaku article about the downfall of Lionhead, comes this very interesting tidbit of information about the sales figures of the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
