New Apex Legends Character Announced for Next Season

The new character is also coming alongside a new weapon.

Dr. Ashleigh Reid was a character that was first introduced in Titanfall 2. The character, in their current identity, will soon be coming to Apex Legends as the game's newest playable character. She was a Simulacrum Pilot in Titanfall 2.

Now known as Ash, she was turned into a Simulacrum after betraying her colleagues and getting stabbed in the process. Ash is already familiar to a number of Apex Legends players...

Respawn Says Titanfall 3 is Not in Development

They're just too busy with other games.

In a recent livestream, Respawn's Jason Garza says that the studio isn't working on Titanfall 3, nor are they working on any new Titanfall 2 content. Garza flat out says that "there's nothing there. We've got too many other games in the works right now."

He did at least later clarify that the team at Respawn are still investigating hacking and other vulnerabilities in Titanfall 2.

    It seems that Respawn's primary...

Apex Legends Cross-Progression Development Slows Due to Recent Hacks

It's almost like DDoS'ing is a bad thing done by bad people.

Respawn says that due to an influx of cheaters and DDoS attacks occurring in and at Apex Legends, the team has had to change up some development plans for the battle royale title.

Game director Chad Grenier says that work on cross-progression has been slowed down as a result of the team having to deal with hackers of all kinds. Grenier made this little fact known in a response to a tweet that asked him for an...

Respawn Has Only 'One or Two' Staff Still Working on Titanfall

Everyone else is working on Apex Legends.

The first Titanfall has been virtually unplayable for weeks now thanks to the ongoing DDoS attacks by someone. Recently, Titanfall 2 has been suffering much the same fate. In fact, the attacks on Titanfall 2 really started to ramp up following the attacks on Apex Legends. At least Titanfall 2 still has a single player component that can be played, but those aching for some Titanfall multiplayer are SOL.

    Despite this, Respawn recently...

A 'Ton' of Titanfall Content is Coming to Apex Legends

Season 9 will introduce a "ton" of Titanfall content into Apex Legends.

During a recent panel with the Apex Legends developers at Respawn, Game Director Chad Grenier made it clear to fans that there will be a "ton of Titanfall" content coming to Apex in Season 9.

For those that are unaware, Titanfall and Apex Legends share the same universe. Of course, outside of some weapons and gear, there really isn't too much crossover between the two games that...

Respawn Working on a New IP

As spotted from a now deleted job opening.

EA Respawn seems to be working on a brand new IP. We aren't 100% sure on this one, but if a now deleted job listing is to be believed, they are doing exactly as we suggest in the headline.

The job opening in question was first spotted by VGC and has since been deleted. The listing did specifically mention that they were forming a small team in order to develop a "brand new IP." Details beyond this were in short supply....

Vince Zampella Says Respawn ARE Working on More Titanfall

It's been a real rollercoaster of a 24 hours for Titanfall fans. First we saw the release of Apex Legends from Respawn Entertainment. This is a new free-to-play battle royale game that is actually pretty damn good. A bit later in the day, it was revealed that Respawn is not working on TItanfall 3.

Oof, right? A real punch to the gut for fans of Titanfall 2. But, what's this? Is there hope? There just might be!

Titanfall 3 is Not in Development, Confirms Respawn

Questions about the "true" future of the Titanfall franchise were raised beginning this past weekend when we first caught wind of Apex Legends, the latest game from Respawn Entertainment and the latest title to be set in the Titanfall universe. One of the biggest questions was whether or not Apex Legends, a newly released and free-to-play battle royale title, was a phoenix rising from the ashes of Titanfall 3 or if Titanfall 3 was still coming.

    Sadly, it's not great...

However, since then it seems that other sources are now coming forth to say that "yes, there is actually some merit to this rumor."

Apparently, a free-to-play Titanfall battle royale game will be released this Monday. The release will happen on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation...

  • Reports of "Weak" Battlefield 5 Pre-Orders Attributed to Lack of Informative Sources from Analyst

Just a week ago, a number of news stories popped up about weak pre-order sales figures for Battlefield V. We were also among the many outlets that put up at least one story about this. Many of us even went so far as to say that EA's decision to sandwich Battlefield V's release between the year's two most anticipated titles were not doing the game any favors. And while it's still probably true that the earlier lack of marketing and the release date aren't really doing Battlefield 5 any favor...

  • The Ghost of Titanfall 2 Haunts Battlefield 5 as Analyst States "Weak" Pre-order Figures

Less than a day after EA executive Patrick Soderlund announced his departure from the company, comes word that pre-order sales for Battlefield V are not doing all that well. Analysts at Cowen say that "pre-order sales of Battlefield V have been weak." These thoughts from Cowen come courtesy of Sarah Needleman, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Cowen feels as though the release date and a lack of marketing are really hurting Battlefield V. They say that "Battlefield could suff...
