Why not just make the entire game exclusive at this point?

Sony has announced some additional "PlayStation advantages" to buying Marvel's Avengers on the PlayStation platform. These "advantages" are on top of the fact that only the PlayStation platform will have access to Spider-Man as a playable hero. The Chivalry series is making a comeback at what could be a very interesting time. Despite fierce competition from Mordhau, Torn Banner Studios announced that they are working on Chivalry 2. It will once again be a multiplayer first-person "slasher" set in medieval battlefields. The game, published by Tripwire Interactive, is targeting a 2020 release on the Epic Games Store.

As part of today's GDC presentation, Epic Games announced a number of timed exclusives that are coming first to the Epic Games Store. Among these games are The Outer Worlds, Control from Remedy Entertainment, and even some PlayStation 4 exclusives like Detroit: Become Human from Quantic Dream.

Some of these titles, such as The Outer Worlds, will also appear on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. I guess this just lends more confirmation that Epic is less about purchasing exclusives...

Another third-party PC game has decided to go the "timed exclusive" route when it comes to their digital market of choice. Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today that Metro Exodus will now be a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store. This is despite the fact that the game has been available for pre-order on Steam for quite some time now.
