    System Shock Remake - Full Medical Level Gameplay Video


    In addition to this week's sneak peak at System Shock 3 from OtherSide Entertainment, we get a long look at the System Shock remake. This remake is being handled by Nightdive Studios. Today, they released a 21-minute long gameplay video. This video shows off a full level of gameplay. Specifically, the "Medical" level is shown off here.

    The team makes sure to note that this is pre-alpha footage and not at all final yet. They say that the level still has missing enemies, weapons, effects, and sounds.

    The original System Shock is roughly 25 years old now....

    System Shock Reboot Project is "Taking a Break"

    The System Shock reboot, remake, reimagining, or whatever you would like to call it is taking a break. According to sources speaking with Polygon, the team at Nightdive have already burned through the $1.35 million that were raised during their 2016 Kickstarter campaign.

    The last major update came in March 2017 when the team decided to switch from Unity to Unreal Engine.

    The confirmation on this "break" came directly from Nightdive Studios in a statement released to Kickstarter backers earlier today.
