X-ray nut shots on the go!

Sniper Elite 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020. Given that there are only a couple of months remaining in 2020, it probably stands to reason we'll see it sooner rather than later. Rebellion is bringing its sniping focused action title to the Switch with all of the trademark gameplay that you know and love from the other versions of the game.

This includes the X-ray kill cams, up close melee combat, far away sniping combat, various weapons...

A solid month for both platforms.

The "free" games coming this August for PlayStation Plus subscribers and Xbox Live Gold members were revealed this week. It looks to be a fairly solid month for both platforms, with Sony offering up WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4. Sony's games will be made available to PlayStation 4 owners starting August 6 and running through until September 2. Developer Rebellion announced today four separate Sniper Elite projects that are being worked on. These include a full sequel to Sniper Elite 4, which I'm guessing will be called Sniper Elite 5 though the press release doesn't state as such.

There is also a VR Sniper Elite project that is being worked on, a Switch release of Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition, and Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a thing. Why V2? Why not the first Sniper Elite game? Man, I don't know!

Rebellion announced today that Sniper Elite 4 will include some nice PlayStation 4 Pro improvements compared to the OG PlayStation 4 version. PC owners won't get shafted here as they also promised to include DirectX 12 support.

In Sniper Elite V2, a bonus mission allowed you to kill Hitler. From what I understand, he was a pretty evil person. Thanks to the popularity of that mode, Rebellion has opted to bring back that goal in Sniper Elite 4.

The release date of Sniper Elite 4 has been pushed back a bit until February 14, 2017. The fourth main installment in the series will be out on that date for the PS4, PC, and XB1.
