    Codemasters picked up Slightly Mad Studios this past week for a cool $30 million. Slightly Mad Studios is the development team behind the Project Cars games.

    Slightly Mad Studios, the development team behind Project Cars revealed today that they are working on a new "stand alone console" that they hope will be released within the next three years.

    Project Cars 2 'Spirit of Le Mans Pack' Available Now

    New racing related content can be yours as a singular purchase or as part of the Project Cars 2 Season Pass. That's right, the Spirit of Le Mans pack is now available from Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco.

    This release includes nine cars, the vintage track, ten new liveries, and five new career events. Other improvements have also come to the base game, all of which can be read about on a per platform basis on the Project Cars 2 website.

    To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed that Project CARS for the Wii U has been cancelled. Really, this shouldn't be too surprising given how talk about the Wii U version has been absent for weeks, even months now, even after it has been released on every other platform.

    What happens now? Well, you have to wait for Nintendo's next console if you want to play the game on Nintendo hardware.
