The latest video for the upcoming Skate game shows off some very early gameplay footage. How early? Very. The footage says that what is being shown off is from a pre-pre-pre-alpha stage of development. Also, I guess this video confirms that the game will be simply called Skate (stylized as skate.) instead of Skate 4.

EA just announced today that Skate (or is it Skate 4, or maybe skate.?) is also coming to the PC in addition to consoles. The confirmation was made via a short yet pretty clear tweet made earlier today.

No, Skate has no release date. No, we haven't really seen any gameplay yet. All we know is that it's still in development after having been announced in June 2020. So yeah... Skate is coming to PC at some point. Neat. ...

The next Skate game is still very much in development. That's about all EA had to share on this one today. They sent out a tweet that said that they're working on it. They also released a video that essentially said the same thing.

Game footage? Nope.

Concept art? Forget about it.

BTS? Yes, assuming you're talking about "behind the scenes" and not about the boy band from South Korea....

To close out their presentation last night, EA announced a new Skate game! And that's literally all we know about it. Nobody during the presentation said that it was a Skate 4. Nobody said which platforms they were looking at developing the game for. All we know is that there's a new Skate game coming somewhere and at some time.

All of EA's talk and literature on the game is simply calling it "Skate." Perhaps it's just a reboot of the franchise...
