New adventure, new characters, and new tales. This is what is coming with the new Tales from the Borderlands series that was announced today at PAX East. The announcement came from Gearbox and 2K and they say that it will be released in 2022.

CEO Randy Pitchford made the reveal during Gearbox's PAX East 2022 panel. The new game will be fully revealed this summer, but we did get a teaser image to tide us all over.

Gearbox was ordered to remove cross-play on PlayStation platforms.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford did a little round of "good news, bad news" today on Twitter. The good news, Pitchford says, is that an update is coming to Borderlands 3 that enables full cross-play support across all platforms! The bad news is that apparently Gearbox was ordered, by way of their "publisher" that they had to remove cross-play support from the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions...

Servers for Battleborn have been shut down forever.

You can't say you didn't see this one coming. The servers for Battleborn have been shut down for good. The final day of the game being available to play was January 31, 2021. Gearbox sent the game out not with a bang, but with a whimper.

A TV series based off of the games based off of true stories.

Scott Rosenbaum has been named the showrunner for a new television series based off of Gearbox's Brothers in Arms game series. The Brothers in Arms series itself is based off of true events and "explores previously classified World War II stories." The first season of the planned TV series will "reveal the biggest scandal of WWII, one which miraculously was kept secret for 40 years."

I bet you thought this game shut down years ago.

The good news is that Battleborn isn't dead. Who knew, right? The bad news is that it will be once January 2021 rolls around. 2K announced via Twitter that they will be deactivating the servers for Battleborn in a little over a year from now.

They also pulled the game from every digital storefront they could. I'm sure the millions of you that were still on the fence about picking it up for a year full of fun and merriment...

There are two lawsuits recently filed between Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and the former general counsel for Gearbox. They're both suing each other, both claiming the other were in violation of their legal responsibilities to the company. The lawsuit against Pitchford from the former Gearbox lawyer Wade Callender says that Pitchford received a secret $12 million bonus from Take-Two Interactive.

Callender's lawsuit, filed December 21, 2018, also says that Pitchford is in violation of some contracts that involve Gearbox and a "separate real estate company" that both of them owned.
