Bethesda just shared their QuakeCon 2022 schedule with everyone today. There will be some Quake Pro League action, a lot of developer presentations, and plenty of Bethesda-related games shown off during the event. Before you get your hopes up too high, it seems like there won't be any Starfield presentations at QuakeCon this year.

John Romero is about to make Unreal Engine 5 his-- oh, who are we kidding.

As one of the key figures behind such standout franchises like Doom, Quake, Heretic, and er... Daikatana, John Romero is no stranger to the gaming industry. The last game he worked on, Empire of Sin, came out back in 2020 to some rather tepid reviews. Fans are already starting to speculate as to what the mysterious Project 2021B is that was recently listed by the Australian Classification Board. Will depart after QuakeCon.

Industry veteran, Tim Willits, announced that he is leaving id Software after spending 24 years with the studio. Willits made this announcement via Twitter, saying that he will part ways from id Software after the conclusion of this year's QuakeCon in July.

According to statements made by Willits, he is not retiring from the industry. However, we won't be told about his plans for the future until after QuakeCon, which conclude son July 28....
