Easing into those PvE waters.

The remaining staff still employed at Bungie just shared new details on what fans can look forward to in Marathon's upcoming mid-Season 2 update. Fans of the extraction shooter will soon have access to Marathon's Vault Breaker PvE mode when the Season 2 mid-season update goes live on July 21. This PvE mode will only be playable until August 4.

This two-week long period will allow for Bungie to collect feedback about the game mode for players....

The PvE story content for Overwatch 2 was always going to have some charge associated with it. The plan was to have the PvE content cost a base fee for a full story campaign while the multiplayer remained free. "Free" if you ignore the cosmetic microtransactions, of course.

Overwatch 2 was announced back at BlizzCon 2019 alongside the promise that it was going to include this big PvE Hero component. A PvE Hero mode would further the Overwatch story and lore along with including various progression systems. It was the single biggest selling point on why a sequel needed to happen at all.

Update 1.07 introduces a long-requested fan feature.

The 1.07 update for Elden Ring went live earlier today. With it came a number of changes, the biggest of which is the separation of PvE and PvP damage scaling. This means that for the first time, FromSoftware is separating the PvE and PvP aspects of the game. It is also a feature that Souls fans have been requesting for years now as PvE combat is a very different beast than PvP combat.
