Hands On with Sea of Thieves (PC)

During the most recent beta for Rare's upcoming high seas pirating adventure, Sea of Thieves, I was fortunate enough to be given a key and test the waters for myself. My first go at the game included two of my friends and a random person teaming up for a four man crew aboard a large and worthy vessel. We collected our supplies from the port at which we spawned. Supplies that included bananas to help us replenish our health if needed, cannonballs to engage in piracy on the open waters, wooden boards to patch up any battle scars on our boat, and ammunition for our weapons. Plus, who could forget the pre-launch celebratory grog that swiftly caused me to lose control over my character as he threw up all over the tavern. It was just another day in the life of a pirate! The sun was shining through some sparse but great looking clouds and the seas were calm. A distant storm could be seen forming b...

Hands On Gameplay Preview of Past Cure

Back in January, I was offered the opportunity to try out an early build of the upcoming psychological thriller meets third-person action title, Past Cure. The build of the game I played was just two levels from the full game. At the time of the preview, the game was still very much in development at Phantom 8 Studio. Typically, when you play a game you notice that they tend to mesh all of their gameplay elements into a singular focus for the entirety of the experience. There usually isn't a very clear-cut change in tone and gameplay focus between two levels. That doesn't seem to be the case with Past Cure. Instead, there will be levels where the playable character Ian, relies on stealth, avoidance, and capacity to solve some fairly easy puzzles. All of these happen in a dark, creepy dream-world filled with visions and nightmares that don't ...

Exclusive: Agents of Mayhem PC Gameplay Preview

As part of the review process for Agents of Mayhem, I was granted permission to stream up to the first five hours of the game. There was no limit on the content that I could show, only the amount of time in which I was allowed to show it. If you happened to miss my stream last night (and I know many of you did), you can watch the full, uncut version below. Feel free to watch it all or skip around a bit. It should give you a general idea of how the game looks, how it plays, what the early story is, and what all there is to do in the futuristic version of Seoul, South Korea. The review embargo does not lift until August 1...

  • A Look at Asset Creation Tools, Mods, and Steam Workshop Integration for Cities: Skylines

Don't feel like sitting through a few hours of just general gameplay to see some information about the asset creation (and editing) tools for Cities: Skylines? No problem, I have you covered with this 15 minute long video that looks at the asset creation tools, mods, and Steam Workshop integration for the city builder.

  • Exclusive: More Cities: Skylines Hands-On Gameplay - Unlimited Money and All Buildings Mods Used

Cities: Skylines is embracing the mod scene in a big way, even going so far as to offer up Steam Workshop support. Right now, there isn't too much in the way of custom content but that probably stands to reason because the game isn't out yet until the 10th. However, there are a few mods out there that I was able to test out last night. I believe these were added by the developer, Colossal Order. The ones used allow me to have unlimited funds while another unlocks all of the non-special buildings. The video is about an hour long and was again taken from a Twitch stream from last night, hence you'll hear me res...

Three Hours of Cities: Skylines Gameplay

I played Cities: Skylines today. I played that game for three hours straight for the first time ever. I streamed it live on the Internet for all to view and if you missed it, you're in luck because you can watch all three hours right now.

Now, the audio mix is completely screwed up for at least the first hour. Since I had to upload to YouTube directly from Twitch, the usual editing and attempts at quality control on my videos are not in place.

With that said, here's unedited gameplay for the upcoming city builder game, Cities: Skylines. I hope to have a proper "A Look at..." go up this weekend. The review...

A Look at Five Nights at Freddy's 3

(sigh...) Yes, it's Five Nights at Freddy's 3. Sure, the first game in the series only came out 6-7 months ago, but maybe this game has some revolutionary new gameplay ideas? Or maybe it has options, any options, options like changing the resolution easily in game? Oh, it has none of those? Alright then.

If you don't care about any of that, you can get Five Nights at Freddy's 3 on Steam for $7.99 (USD).
Thirty years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed it's doors, the events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of "Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction"

    A Look at Paranautical Activity

Paranautical Activity is back on Steam after a brief hiatus. As you may recall, one of the game's two developers decided to make death threats against Gabe Newell. With that person allegedly gone from the team, the game is now back on Steam as Paranautical Activity: Deluxe Atonement Edition.

In addition to this, the game is on sale for 30% off until February 20, bringing the normal price of $9.99 (USD) down to $6.99....
