Sony Patents Ability to Earn Trophies in Older, Emulated Games

Ever want to earn trophies in games that came before Trophies?

If you have ever played an older title, maybe even a retro one, and thought to yourself, "I wish I could earn trophies in this game," then Sony may have you covered. The company just recently patented a way to add trophies to older, emulated titles. Sounds neat, right?

This patent was first discovered back on March 18th by Reddit user Bartman013 from the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit. The patent...

The "all digital future" may be closer than you think if a new rumor is to be believed. According to Brad Sams from Thurrott.com, Microsoft is getting ready to release an Xbox One S console that doesn't have a disc drive.

Sams says that the internal codename for this device is "Xbox Maverick" with the public facing name being "Xbox One S All-Digital Edition." Pre-orders are apparently slated to go live mid-April with a release possibly coming as...

Google Wants to Stream Assassin's Creed Odyssey to You Through Chrome

The idea of streaming a game to an end consumer isn't a radically new idea. It's been around for years now in one form or another, including with current services like PlayStation Now or Nvidia's similarly named GeForce Now. But streaming a game through a browser? Well, that's a bit different and not really something that's been done on the scale of a AAA game. At least, it wasn't a thing until now. Google, of all companies, announced Project Stream earlier today. They're calling it a "techn...

You Can Now Download PS4 and PS2 Games with PlayStation Now

PlayStation Now is Sony's online streaming service that allows you to pay to play a variety of PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 titles. Up until now, the only way to play these PlayStation Now titles was to stream the games online. You can understand how this might be an issue if your Internet connection sucks.

It is perhaps a good thing that Sony just announced that PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 4 titles offered through PlayStation Now can now be downloaded...

PlayStation 4 Games Coming to PlayStation Now in 2017

Up until now, PlayStation Now has only had a selection of PlayStation 3 games that you could play via this streaming service. Microsoft announced the Xbox Game Pass today. For a monthly fee of $9.99 (USD) you get instant and unlimited access to over 100 games. These games include Xbox One (including Windows 10) titles and Xbox 360 games. I'm going to assume Microsoft saw how good EA Access was doing and decided to get in on that action.
