Blizzard just announced that they will be changing the in-game name of Jesse McCree in Overwatch and the upcoming Overwatch 2. An arrest has been made by the Brazilian police of a man suspected of murdering Christiane Louise, a well-known Brazilian voice actor who provided a voice to Cortana in Halo, Mercy in Overwatch, Sivir in League of Legends, and multiple other voice acting and live-action roles. Blizzard rolled out the beta for Overwatch crossplay today, something that they first announced earlier this month. This means that players on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and even Nintendo can group up and play together as if they were all on the same platform.

Blizzard announced that a crossplay beta is coming very soon to Overwatch. This will allow players on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch to team up and play with one another. This crossplay beta is coming thanks to a new update for Battle.net. This update also merges friends lists from different territories.

The latest earnings report for Blizzard show that the development studio is making more money than before but its new monthly active users are going down. The company's latest quarterly financial results show that the company has 27 million monthly active users (MAU).

The Overwatch Lunar New Year event for 2021 is now live. It features new Epic skins, sprays, icons, and even a new game mode. The new mode is called Bounty Hunter and it's fairly straight forward. The player who gets the first kill of the match is transformed into the "Target." Everyone else is the Bounty Hunter. You earn extra points for killing the Target, but in doing so you become the new Target.
