No, it's not a VR game.

Despite the inclusion of what appears to be some weird VR goggles on the announcement image, the next Outlast game is not, in fact, a VR horror game. This is a point that developer Red Barrels has had to state repeatedly on their brief announcement for The Outlast Trials.


While it may not be a VR game, it isn't exactly going to be Outlast 3. The Outlast Trials will be a co-op horror game set in the same universe as the previous two games....

Something for fans of action and horror.

Sony announced their November 2019 free games for those subscribed to PlayStation Plus. Those games are none other than Nioh and Outlast 2. These games will be available to download for those with active PlayStation Plus subscriptions starting on November 5.

Nioh is an action-RPG that is a bit like Dark Souls but if Dark Souls was a bit faster paced, set in ancient Japan, and had cute little green characters called Kodama.

It's a double dose of Outlast today with the launch trailers for both Outlast 2 and Outlast Trinity. Outlast 2 is, of course, the sequel to the first game and is out April 25. Outlast Trinity is a collection of all of the Outlast content including the first and second games, plus the Whistleblower DLC for the first game.
