New Game+ Mode Added in Latest Metro Exodus Update

Metro Exodus was added in the "Ranger Update" released today for the post-apocalyptic FPS. This update is free to existing owners of the game, be they on consoles or PC via Steam or the Epic Games Store, which is currently the only place you can buy Metro Exodus on PC until next year.

The biggest addition in today's update is the New Game+ feature. This will allow you to retain your weapons and attachments through to a second playthrough of the game. Players will also be able to fine-tune the game courtesy of this New Game+ mode to add some extra challenge if desired....

    Metro Exodus 'Artyom's Nightmare' Trailer

Look, I cannot recall if I already posted this trailer or not. Chances are, I probably missed this last week when it actually came out. However, we're in the here and now and I can't just go and alter history, so I'm posting it for you today. This here is a new trailer for Metro Exodus. If you already watched it, then it's obviously not new, but do spare me the semantics.

4A Games and Deep Silver call this one "Artyom's Nightmare" and it is a CGI animated short. It serves as a "dream-like prologue to the events of Metro Exodus."

    The game itself...

New Metro Exodus Trailer Shows Off New Weapons and Mod System

A new trailer for Metro Exodus came out today, this time showcasing some of the new weapons that Artyom will get to use during his action-filled adventure. Another trailer?

It feels like only the other week where we were given news about a special pre-order poster, the incredibly rare Metro Exodus Master Artyom Edition, the reveal of the game's photo mode, and the premiere of the Metro Exodus story trailer.

According to 4A Games and Deep Silver, the weapon system has been completely overhauled from the previous game. For you, this translates into being able to...

Metro Exodus 'Master Artyom Edition' Announced

The week of reveals for Metro Exodus continues today with the announcement of the Metro Exodus "Master Artyom Edition." Deep Silver, 4A Games, and the author of Metro Dmitry Glukhovsky, announced this special edition of the game. This version of the game is so rare that only ten copies have been made.

They are not available to be purchased in any store. Instead, all but one copy of the Master Artyom Edition will be given out to fans that win them via a number of planned promotions in the upcoming weeks. The first of the ten copies was given to 4A Games.

Photo Mode Announced for Metro Exodus

Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today that Metro Exodus will include a Photo Mode. It will be included at the game's release, which just happens to be February 15.

Though the Photo Mode is included on all platforms (PS4, XB1, & PC), PC players will also get Ansel support. To add, PC players will also get the benefit of that lovely RTX tech to really make their screenshots stand out.

I'm also seeing that this is the first of a week of "daily announcements" for Metro Exodus. It will be very interesting to see what the rest of the week...

Metro Exodus Gamescom 2018 Trailer Gives First Taste of Gameplay

Thanks to Gamescom this week, we have our first look at the gameplay experience coming with Metro Exodus.

Metro Exodus is playable at Gamescom at both the Deep Silver booth and at the GeForce Gaming Celebration event starting today. The place where they revealed the $1200 (USD) RTX 2080Ti, or is that the $1000 RTX 2080Ti? Nvidia apparently changed the price a couple of times,...

Over 17 Minutes of Metro Exodus Gameplay

We have a double feature tonight for those of you looking forward to Metro Exodus. A new trailer was shown off this week for the upcoming FPS. It was a cool trailer and all but it really kind of pales in comparison to the over 17 minutes of gameplay that 4A Games put online this week.

I've included both since I feel like you deserve it. Metro Exodus is slated to be released on February 22, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
In Metro Exodus, you'll explore vast open levels as you journey across post-apocalyptic Russia. In this extended gameplay demo, 4A Games will guide you through some of the brand new features we're addin

Metro Exodus Delayed Until Early 2019

We thought that Metro Exodus would be released in Q3 of 2018. We thought that because up until this week, that was factually correct. Alas, we must now wait until Q1 2019 to play the game. Let's find out just why that is.

Deep Silver provided a statement as to why the game was pushed back until next year.
The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing. We have been constantly reviewing the games progress to ensure that we deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve, as well as keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products.

Metro Exodus will be First PC Game to Use Real Time Ray Tracing Technology

During a GDC 2018 tech demo of Metro Exodus, developer 4A Games said that it will be the first game to make use of Nvidia's new RTX real-time ray tracing technology.

If it's anything like the demos we've already seen at GDC this week, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high for this being something most people will be able to fully enjoy until years from now.

    THQ Nordic Acquires Koch Media

News broke early this morning that THQ Nordic has acquired Koch Media. The deal, worth 121 million euro, means that THQ Nordic also now owns Deep Silver, the publisher of Saints Row, Dead Island, the upcoming Shenmue 3, the upcoming Metro Exodus, and the recently released Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You know, to name a few franchises you might recognize.

That seems like quite the get for THQ Nordic there. Especially when you consider that back in late 2012, THQ sold off most of their assets to places like Koch Media and Nordic Games. Nordic Games then became THQ Nordic in 2016. In just the past year and a half, THQ Nordic picked up...
