    First single-player expansion teased.

    The first details on the first single player expansion for DOOM Eternal came out today courtesy of the Bethesda blog. The first piece of content is called The Ancient Gods, Part One and includes travel to "previously uncharted realms of the DOOM universe."

    Denuvo Anti-Cheat Getting Removed from DOOM Eternal in Next Update

    Consider this a horribly failed experiment.

    id Software executive producer Marty Stratton took to Reddit to announce that the much detested Denuvo Anti-Cheat will be removed in the next update for DOOM Eternal. For those who are not aware, the previous update for DOOM Eternal added in the third-party anti-cheat to the game.

    This is a huge loss for everyone.

    There have been some rumblings over the past week or so that Mick Gordon was not at all happy with how some aspects of the DOOM Eternal soundtrack were being handled.     DOOM Eternal Has the Best Opening Weekend Ever

    When compared to other DOOM games, at least.

    Bethesda and id Software just announced that DOOM Eternal has broken franchise sales records. According to the teams, DOOM Eternal has broken franchise records for opening weekend sales. DOOM Eternal has apparently doubled the launch revenue of 2016's DOOM. They also note that DOOM Eternal was the best selling game on Steam for most of the week and has managed to pull in over 100,000 concurrent players at its peak.

    DOOM 64 Confirmed for a November Release on Switch

    The once Nintendo 64 exclusive is coming to the Switch this November.

    DOOM 64, perhaps the least talked about Doom title, is finally ready to spend some time in the spotlight. This classic Nintendo 64 title, originally released back in 1997, has been confirmed for a release on the Nintendo Switch. Not only that, but it's out very soon, on November 22, 2019.

    Just last month, Tim Willits announced that he was parting ways with id Software after the end of QuakeCon.     Tim Willits Leaving id Software After 24 Years

    Will depart after QuakeCon.

    Industry veteran, Tim Willits, announced that he is leaving id Software after spending 24 years with the studio. Willits made this announcement via Twitter, saying that he will part ways from id Software after the conclusion of this year's QuakeCon in July.
