    Bethesda Now Hosting Official Vanilla Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Servers

    Get the vanilla gameplay experience on these official servers.

    Bethesda just announced that they have set up new dedicated servers for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. These official servers will not include any community mods and will only include the original six maps. This makes for a perfect place for those looking for a traditional Enemy Territory experience to frequent.

    Old id and Bethesda Games Added to PC Game Pass

    QuakeCon 2022 began earlier today with a little welcome message from Marty Stratton. I'm sure it was great. I don't know, I didn't watch it. What I do know is that Bethesda and id Software added some classic PC titles to Game Pass today.     A lot of Bethesda games will be shown off, except Starfield.

    Bethesda just shared their QuakeCon 2022 schedule with everyone today. There will be some Quake Pro League action, a lot of developer presentations, and plenty of Bethesda-related games shown off during the event.     The event will again take place this August.

    Like in 2020 and 2021, QuakeCon 2022 will again be a digital-only event. This year's event will run from August 18 - 20.

    Horde Mode Finally Added to DOOM Eternal

    It's part of the new 6.66 update for the game.

    Bethesda and id Software announced the release of the 6.66 update for DOOM Eternal today. This update adds, among other things, a brand new horde mode.

    Earlier this week, we were granted a little look at DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part Two thanks to a short teaser. It was said at that time that we would see a longer trailer coming out on Wednesday, March 17. That would be today. Sure enough, we were given a longer trailer today.

    It's official.

    Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, took to the Xbox Wire to talk about how Bethesda is now officially a part of Team Xbox. The whole rigmarole of legal checks have been passed and all parties have agreed to the process.     Microsoft Acquires ZeniMax for $7.5 Billion

    It's official.

    Microsoft has confirmed that they are in the process of acquiring ZeniMax Media for a cool $7.5 billion (USD) in cash. ZeniMax is the parent company of studios like Bethesda, creator of The Elder Scrolls, as well as id Software, the developer behind DOOM.

    This acquisition is reportedly the "biggest video game purchase ever" for Microsoft.

    The first details on the first single player expansion for DOOM Eternal came out today courtesy of the Bethesda blog. The first piece of content is called The Ancient Gods, Part One and includes travel to "previously uncharted realms of the DOOM universe."
