Hexworks just unveiled a "full 20 minutes" of gameplay footage for Lords of the Fallen, the studio's upcoming dark-fantasy action-RPG. The video clocks in at 17 minutes and 52 seconds. A full reboot of the series kicks off this October.

The CI Games studio, HEXWORKS, have just announced when their upcoming dark-fantasy action-RPG Lords of the Fallen will be released. The spiritual successor / reboot is aiming for a release on October 13, 2023. It just so happens that it's a Friday the 13th. Oooh, spooky.

CI Games took a bit of time out of the State of Unreal keynote at this year's GDC to show the audience how Lords of the Fallen makes use of Unreal Engine 5 technologies.

CI Games announced The Lords of the Fallen during Opening Night Live for Gamescom. This is a sequel to Lords of the Fallen from 2014, which itself is a fantasy action-RPG in the same vein as Dark Souls. While the first game was developed by CI Games and Deck 13, this sequel is being developed by HEXWORKS.

CI Games announces the opening of Hexworks, a new game development studio that is based in Barcelona and Bucharest. The Barcelona crew opened in March with the team in Bucharest following just a few weeks later.
