Many Rainbow Six Siege players reported seeing ban messages pop up informing them that they have been banned from the live-service shooter for a period of 67 days. Players say that the ban reason was "due to harassment" and that the 67-day bans were clearly being done in a reference to the viral meme that your kids absolutely love for some reason.

Update on Monday, December 29th: Ubisoft started to bring the servers back online slowly late in the day on December 28th. Based on several updates made to their social channels, it appears as though the rollback is complete and Rainbow Six Siege is again available "to all players."

Void Interactive, the studio behind the tactical shooter Ready or Not, has reportedly been hit by a massive hack. According to images and descriptions of files shared to Insider Gaming, millions of files were stolen from the studio. These files reportedly include the source code for Ready or Not, unreleased console builds of the game, and much more.

Easy Anti-Cheat woke up from their five year social media slumber to address claims that their anti-cheat solution may be responsible for the Apex Legends ALGS hacks. DarkZero's Genburten and TSM's ImperialHal seemingly had wallhacks and aimbot forced upon them from someone with ill intent....

The hacker used an Amazon Firestick, hotel TV, and a mobile phone to steal the data.

One of the hackers that accessed Rockstar Games servers, stole data related to Grand Theft Auto 6, and subsequently leaked the stolen data online has been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order. Arion Kurtaj is the name of the hacker that will now be indefinitely detained at a secure hospital until it is determined that he is no longer a danger.

Ransomware group, Rhysida, claimed responsibility and demanded 50 BTC for the stolen data, else they would release the data publicly. This week, arrests were made in connection with the 2020 hack of Capcom. In 2020, a ransomware group gained access to internal Capcom data. GSC Game World say they have been dealing with cyberattacks for over a year now.
GSC Game World, the Ukrainian development studio currently working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, say that they have been hacked by a group of Russians. The confirmation of this hack came just earlier today through Twitter, where GSC Game World explains what happened and that fans should be aware of content, ie: spoilers, being shared online ahead of the game's release.

It looks like there is a new server-wide hack or exploit going around in Call of Duty: Warzone at present. Players have reported joining hacked lobbies in various Warzone game types that will instantly level up their weapon to max level (70) after earning just one kill.

According to a post on Reddit, streamer Dr Disrespect encountered this hacked lobby weapon boost earlier today. Another streamer, TimTheTatman also found himself in one...

However, user data seems to be safe.

Capcom, the studio that brought us Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Monster Hunter, reported today that they were hacked. At some point last week, hackers gained access to Capcom's computer systems. The good news amongst all of this unfortunate news is that no customer data was accessed or stolen during the hack.
