Germany, being Germany, banned Fallout 3 in 2009 due to its violent content. A censored version was eventually released there but as the Internet will make damn sure it tells you: censorship sucks. Why lift the ban now? Because Bethesda wasn't going to put up with that crap and "initiated a difficult and rarely-successful trial" with the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Minors.

Google Developer Apologizes for Including Concentration Camps in Augmented Reality Game Ingress
Niantic Labs, a Google subsidiary, has apologized for including concentration camps in their popular ARG, Ingress.
Ingress essentially has players going around "capturing" popular locations and moments for their team. It's all done in the real world utilizing your phone's GPS to aid in your discovery and capture of locations (called Portals in the game) in your immediate area. It just so happened that some of these locations ended up being concentration camps.

European Version of The Last of Us Remastered to Remain Heavily Censored
In a post on the European Playstation blog, Sony's Fred Dutton confirmed that the multiplayer in The Last of Us Remastered on the PS4 will not be changed from the PS3 version.
To those not in the know, the European version, even outside of Germany, was heavily censored and featured no gore in the multiplayer component. When asked about this for Remastered, Dutton confirmed the news no European wanted to hear.

Including imagery of the swastika in games or other media in Germany is considered a violation of federal law. That's why games that feature Germans in World War II have to be heavily edited prior to release in that region.
Unfortunately, it seems as though the wrong version was reproduced and sent to Germany that does not include censoring of a few scenes containing the swastika. Whoops!
