China Imposes Three Hour Weekly Limit on Playing Games

Also, you can only play on weekends and holidays.

Starting September 1st, companies operating in China will be required to limit online gaming to just three hours per week for minors. This was a new rule that was just passed by Chinese regulators. This is a change from a previous restriction started in 2019 that allowed for up to 1.5 hours of game time per day.

According to a report from Bloomberg, those under the age of 18 will only be allowed to game for one hour between...

Ways Gaming and Gambling Are Connected

Gaming and gambling are very similar, so similar that the industry is using these two terms interchangeably on many occasions. However, they have one big difference—gaming relies on skill, while gambling relies on chance. But how similar these activities really are?

    History of gambling and gaming

In the past, video games didn’t contain any elements of gambling. People played games for fun and not for prizes and bonuses. However, times are changing, and several...

How Gambling Has Impacted the Video Game Industry

Some folks love playing video games, others like to gamble, many love both and sometimes at the same time. Today, gambling and gaming are so intertwined that we often use these words as synonyms with no distinction between them. It wasn’t always so, as maybe just a decade ago, there was a clear difference between playing high stake poker and shooting Nazi zombies while playing Sniper Elite. When did things start to mix to this point where gambling is becoming an integral part of video...

Trump to Meet with Game Industry Executives to Talk About Guns and Violence

Next week, Donald Trump will supposedly meet with various video game execs to have a little chit-chat about the evils of violent video games. Who are these executives? Nobody knows. Why isn't Trump focusing on actual issues like gun control? Beats the hell outta me.

All we know is that notorious liar White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the press this bit of news earlier this afternoon.
"The president has met with a number of stakeholders. Next week

Trump Claims Video Game Violence is "Shaping Young People's Thoughts"

For those of you too young to remember, let me take you back to a time where video games and music were the root of all problems. Video games, specifically Doom, were blamed for Columbine in 1999. Disbarred and perpetually disgraced lawyer, Jack Thompson, also blamed violence on video games. Some specific targets of Thompson included Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Bully, Manhunt, and Mortal Kombat. Before the suspect was ever even identified in the Virginia Tech shooting, Thompson quickly...

Whew, PC gaming sure is dead, eh? We have some new records to announce to you today. First up, Steam has surpassed 15 million concurrent users. This means that all around the world statues crumble for me there were 15 million people logged into Steam but not necessarily playing games. Still though, it's impressive. Assault Android Cactus Review

A fun, colorful, and fresh take on twin-stick shooters and bullet hell bosses.
It needs to be said upfront that I'm not normally a big fan of the "bullet hell" style of games. Even back during the height of Geometry Wars' popularity, I only managed to earn just four achievements before I hit a brick wall and ultimately never touched the game again for the better part of a decade. It's not that I hate that particular genre of games, it's more so that they hate me and my poor reaction times....
