Microsoft revealed not one, not two, but THREE new Gears games today during their E3 conference. At least one of them is decidedly unlike anything you would probably ever want from that franchise. One is perhaps closer to what you may enjoy, Gears Tactics. And the last one is just Gears 5. That's Gears 5, not Gears of War 5.

Let's start with the first announcement that was made, Gears Pop!. It's an upcoming mobile game for Android and iOS devices that will be released in 2019. Yes, it's a Gears game with Funko Pop! characters. I don't know either.

If you are one of the many out there that love those hyper-disfigured Funko Pop! vinyl figures, you may want to keep an eye on this latest announcement. The latest game to get the big head, dead eyed treatment is none other than Mortal Kombat.

The announced figures include Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Kitan, Goro, and Raiden. There are some variations among the announced figures including a Hot Topic exclusive Scorpion with flaming skull. Holy crap, Hot Topic is still a thing?!


These figures will be sold in stores starting in November.

Console owners won't be the only ones who get a new Assassin's Creed game this year. Those on mobile devices with either iOS or Android will get to experience Assassin's Creed Rebellion. It features characters that look like they're ripe for the Funko Pop treatment right out of the gate.

But hey, this game will be free and I can't complain about that in the slightest.
