On Saturday, June 4, the end of Chapter 3 Season 2 for Fortnite came with a giant mech, a lot of explosions, a truck driving banana, and a peek at Darth Vader. Today, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 kicked off and with it came an island-wide party. Thousands of people watched a mysterious black hole where Fortnite once stood. Literally. It was the top watched "game" on Twitch the past few days and it was literally nothing but a glorified screensaver. You could not play Fortnite at all. There was no Battle Royale. A new Fortnite retail bundle is coming to a store near you.

It looks like Epic Games is about ready to release a new physical retail bundle of Fortnite soon. They, along with WBIE, will launch the Fortnite: Darkfire Bundle on November 5, 2019.

Taking a nerf bat to the mech that everyone hates.

The new, giant mechs in the latest Fortnite season aren't winning too many fans over. In fact, some people outright despise the mech and other changes that came about in Season 10. Epic hasn't backed down from keeping them in the game (for now), but they did make some nerfs to the way that mech, called B.R.U.T.E., operates. Perhaps Respawn had the right idea when they decided not to include the Titans in Apex Legends.

Earlier today, the Fortnitemares event for Fortnite officially kicked off. It then immediately got pulled for a little while. Apparently, today's update had some issues with a degradation in performance, disconnects, the inability to complete certain challenges, and server hitches.

Epic Games, the studio behind a little game called Fortnite, just announced that they have bought the company, Kamu, behind the anti-cheat software that is appropriately called Easy Anti-Cheat.
