Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn DLC Teased via the Power of Anime

Square Enix is using anime to tease the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC "Episode Ardyn." Oh, by the way, Square Enix is also announcing today that Episode Ardyn will be out on March 26, 2019.

Before that, though, it's all about Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn - Prologue, an anime short that serves as a prequel to the upcoming DLC. The DLC itself is an all-new storyline that places you in the shoes of Ardyn Lucis Caelum. The content is set 35 years prior to the events of Final Fantasy XV and takes players from Ardyn's imprisonment, the world of darkness, an on to a path...

    2018 Games of the Year

A week or two ago I took you through some of the games I felt were the worst video games in 2018. There were a variety of reasons included for why those games made that list, ranging from the games just being broken to the games just being boring.

Today, we're going in the opposite direction. Today, we are going to look at some of the best games of 2018. The list, with one exception is in no real particular order. I will try to keep it brief since this is probably already a month out of date by the time this goes live. I only include games that I played here. I do not own...

  • Most Planned DLC for Final Fantasy XV Cancelled as Game Director Hajime Tabata Quits

Woo man, last night was one hell of a roller coaster for fans of Final Fantasy XV. Square Enix held a special event focused solely on just what is going on with Final Fantasy XV, its future content, and everything else. It just so happens that the "everything else" is game director Hajime Tabata quitting Square Enix and most of the planned DLC episodes being cancelled.

    Oh no.

Right now, Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn is still planned to be released in March 2019 for all platforms. However, the episodes that were planned for Aranea, Lunafreya, and Noctis have all been cancelled. All four of these episodes were originally planned for release throughout 2019. These episodes would have provided a bunch of additional story and even included an alternate ending to the main game. Square Enix announced last night ...

These will take us into early 2019 at which point the focus will shift back to the game's single player component with the release of the Ardyn-centric episode.

After that, there looks to be a somewhat rapid fire releases of three additional episodes including: Episode Ara...

Sure, fine, whatever. A demo? Great! But what's really important here is the fact that if you purchase the game through Stream from now until May 1, you will bring Gordon Freeman back from the dead. At the very least, you'll be wearing Gordon's well-preserved skin as an in-game costume for Noctis.
