    Review: Maneater

A fun, albeit shallow, gameplay experience.

Maneater is one of those titles that is just the right amount of dumb fun. It pushes the dumb just far enough that you are not overly concerned with its obvious shortcomings. I suppose that any game that places you in the fins of a growing, angry as hell bull shark that can mutate and grow. These mutations provide your shark with gain special abilities is not a game that would ever take itself too seriously.

    Maneater is a game...

Remastered Release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 Announced

Tony Hawk is getting remastered... again.

It has happened once before already and it will more than likely happen again in the future. However, in the here and now, it's happening for the second time. If you correctly guessed that the first two Tony Hawk games were getting remastered yet again, you are either a genius or you read the headline.

Back in 2012, we reviewed the first attempt at a remaster for the first few Tony Hawk titles. It was called Tony Hawk's Pro Skater...

Metro Exodus is Back on Steam and at 40% Off

    525,600 minutes...

Last night, perhaps when you were snuggled up under your blankets, a little miracle happened. It was in the midnight hour (ET) when Metro Exodus returned to being sold on Steam. Normally, this isn't quite the monumental occasion, but it certainly is in the case of Metro Exodus.

It was Metro Exodus that really kicked off the season of the Epic Games Store exclusive. This was a period in which a fair number of games that were slated to be released on Steam,...

No Pre-loads for Borderlands 3 on Epic Games Store

    Just another launcher.

Epic's Tim Sweeney says that there will be no pre-loads for Borderlands 3 on the PC through the Epic Games Store. If you have purchased the game, you will need to wait until the game is released before you can even download it. Those on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will not have this problem.

Those of you who have somewhat decent Internet connections probably won't have to worry about waiting for too long, provided the download servers hold up....

Then quickly announces this will happen again.

If you've been following the Shenmue 3 development saga for any length of time, you are probably well aware of a few things. First, you are probably well aware that the game pulled in over $6.3 million on Kickstarter alone. After the Kickstarter run ended, it used another service to keep collecting from fans that wanted to help fund the game. The total amount pledged rose to almost $7.2 million. Deep Silver was then selected as the game's...

    Review: The Sinking City (PC)

    That sinking feeling.

Frogware's The Sinking City is perhaps the best love letter to Lovecraft that we have seen in quite some time, but that may not be saying much. This most direct competition to The Sinking City was 2018's Call of Cthulhu, which really failed to capitalize on any single gameplay aspect. The Sinking City, on the other hand, at least manages to excel in one or two key areas, even if it barely stays afloat in others.

The city of Oakmont is the main location...
