The latest is from a company named White Knuckle that claims EA's sports titles infringe on patent number 8,529,350. This software patent relates to recording "real-world parameters, then storing those elements on a server so players can download to update their games." Back in April of 2013, a lawsuit was filed against EA and EA Sports from one of the original programmers for the John Madden Football series, Robin Antonick. They claimed that EA never paid him for his work which was apparently copied for future games from his original work.
