The closed beta period for Diablo 2: Resurrected has already come and gone. However, a new open beta is almost ready to begin. This beta will be available to everyone, regardless if they pre-purchased the game or not.

Blizzard provided a new gameplay trailer this evening for Diablo II: Resurrected that was shared during Microsoft's Xbox Mega E3 Super Show. This new trailer says that Diablo II: Resurrected will be released on September 23, 2021 for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Worry not though, because it's also supposed to be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch at the same time.

The game will retail for $39.99 (USD) at launch....

Profits go up as user counts go down? It's more likely than you think.

The latest earnings report for Blizzard show that the development studio is making more money than before but its new monthly active users are going down. The company's latest quarterly financial results show that the company has 27 million monthly active users (MAU).

This is actually a 29% decrease of MAUs over three years. In Q1 2018, Blizzard had 38 million MAUs. Apparently a big drop off happened...
