Featuring a complete environmental overhaul, vast landscapes and all-new locations, the new arena is designed to improve the pace and performance of matches overall, with additional points of interest for showdowns and surprises, better loot distribution near player spawns and greatly improved graphics and lighting.

John Smedley Steps Down as CEO of Daybreak Game Company
John Smedley hasn't exactly had it easy these past few months. It should perhaps then come as no surprise that Smedley has decided to step down as the CEO and President of Daybreak Game Company (formerly SOE).
A spokesperson for Daybreak issued a short comment on the move.

Daybreak Servers Suffer DDoS Attack Following John Smedley's Angry Tweets
Daybreak Game Company, the studio formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment, suffered a series of DDoS attacks yesterday. The attacks came shortly after their CEO, John Smedley, made a series of angry and threatening Tweets directed towards Lizard Squad and Julius "zeekill" Kivimaki following news of Kivimaki's punishment from Finnish courts. Smedley, understandably, found the punishment to be far too lenient for what Kivimaki and his associates did.
