Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Valve Says 'People Enjoy Surprises', Claims Counter-Strike 2 Loot Boxes are Fine Actually
Surprise!
Valve is still being sued by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The lawsuit, filed in February 2026, accuses Valve of "promoting illegal gambling and threatening to addict children through its use of 'loot boxes'." James and the state of New York is seeking "full restitution" for players, claiming that "loot boxes pose the same dangers as casino gambling, especially for children."
Valve pushed out a small update for Counter-Strike 2 today. As this one wasn't made super late, as most of their updates have been, I figured I'd pass along the news.
The update seems to just include a few fixes to the game, namely for some issues on the newly released Cache map. There really isn't too much else to say here. ...
Valve Just Made a Major Change to How Reloading Works in Counter-Strike 2
Why though?
Valve just made one of the biggest gameplay changes ever to Counter-Strike since the addition of the riot shield. As of today's update for Counter-Strike 2, Valve made it so that when you reload your weapon, you will drop the used magazine and discard all of its remaining ammo.
Previously, and this was the case for literal decades now, when you reloaded your weapons the ammo was just dumped back into a total "pool" of ammo. Sure, it wasn't realistic...
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Nominated for Record Breaking 12 Categories at The Game Awards
Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei are nominated in eight categories.
The nominees for The Game Awards 2025 were shared today in a rapid-fire 10 minute long presentation from Geoff Keighley. The game that saw the most nominations for this year's awards show is none other than Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which was nominated for a record breaking 12 categories.
Other notable nominations this year include Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei, which were...
Children as young as 13 admit to gambling on Counter-Strike.
Stephen Findeisen, better known online as Coffeezilla, claims that "underage gambling is rampant on Counter-Strike." This is an assertion made in his latest investigative report, "Deception, Lies, and Valve."
This new video from Coffeezilla takes a deep dive into the world of underage gambling on Counter-Strike skins, and it comes after Coffeezilla exposed "a casino in the Counter Strike...
What's next: Dust? Aztec? Prodigy? Cbble? Assault? 747? Estate? Chateau?! Ha, if only...
A vastly overhauled version of de_train (Train) was just added to Counter-Strike 2 today. This release not only makes obvious visual changes and improvements to the classic Counter-Strike map but it also makes some significant changes to the layout. The most obvious change is the addition of overcast skies and some rainy weather.
Today's update also adds in community maps Basalt...
Looks like Valve just released a little update for Counter-Strike 2. Valve has a tendency to release their updates a little later in the day, so it's a rare treat when I see an update for Counter-Strike and it's still daylight here.
Today's update isn't particularly big or exciting though. It's more of a minor bug fix update. It is what it is.
The changelog can be found below if you didn't feel like clicking the link above. Counter-Strike...
Custom Map Support Added to Counter-Strike 2 Workshop
Custom maps are now easily accessible in Counter-Strike 2.
Slowly but surely, Counter-Strike 2 is being improved. The latest update for the game added in Steam Workshop support for custom maps. This will allow map makers to upload their maps to the Workshop. Community servers can also host these maps on their servers. Players can also optionally play these custom maps offline by subscribing to them and heading to the Play menu.
VAC is Now Banning Counter-Strike 2 Players that Set Their Mouse DPI too High
Setting your mouse DPI settings too high? That's a ban.
Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) hasn't been doing too hot lately. First, the anti-cheat issued bans to those using AMD's Anti-Lag+ feature in Counter-Strike 2. Now, VAC is issuing bans for setting your mouse DPI too high.
The issue with Anti-Lag+ was due to how AMD implemented the feature into a variety of games. It altered or hooked into game files, which is a big no-no when it comes to playing games that are supported...
The latest driver release from AMD, version 23.10.1 (dated October 11, 2023), could potentially get you VAC banned from Counter-Strike 2. These newest drivers from AMD allow players to turn on AMD's new Anti-Lag+ feature in Counter-Strike 2. Anti-Lag+ being a way to reduce latency in games, similar to Nvidia Reflex.
Valve took to Twitter to plainly say that if you have these new drivers, you should not enable Anti-Lag+...
On October 9th, Valve flat out said that they have no plans for a macOS release of Counter-Strike 2. Part of the reason is because there just weren't enough people playing the game on macOS to warrant continuing support for the platform with their new release.
The unfortunate news was stated plainly in a new Steam Support page for Counter-Strike 2. In addition to dropping support for macOS, Valve is also ditching support for...
Oh man, what's this? A poll question asking about Counter-Strike on a site that used to be called CS-Nation? Wow, that's totally nuts and crazy and so whacky.
Counter-Strike 2 was officially released on September 27th, effectively replacing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Like, it literally replaced CS:GO. Not only did Counter-Strike: Global Offensive just straight up get updated to Counter-Strike 2, but Valve also kept using...
Without a press release in sight, Valve has launched Counter-Strike 2 to the world. This free-to-play release is available right now and will replace your current installs of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. True to Valve tradition, today's release is actually a little bit later than initially expected. During its initial announcement in March, Valve said Counter-Strike 2 would be out in summer. It is now fall, but they only missed...
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Surpasses 1.8 Million Concurrent Players
Eleven years later, CS:GO is more popular than ever.
There have already been several monumental weekends just in 2023 for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The game, which turns 11 later this year, is seeing more popularity than ever before.
Maybe it's the hype surrounding the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 or for IEM Dallas 2023 later this month. Maybe it's because Valve launched the Paris 2023 Viewer Pass and autograph capsules this week. Maybe it's because people are getting...
Valve's massively popular FPS gets an engine upgrade and a test starting today.
Valve officially announced Counter-Strike 2 today after weeks of teases, speculation, and rumors. The developer calls this "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history" and I'm inclined to believe it.
Counter-Strike 2 will launch to everyone starting in Summer of 2023. Counter-Strike 2 will be a free upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some Counter-Strike:...
