Update (July 7, 2025): Activision has since pulled the "Xbox PC" version of Call of Duty: WWII. This was the version of the game that was available through PC Game Pass. Call of Duty: WWII is still available on Steam and Battle.net, but I probably wouldn't test either of those out if I were you. There's no saying yet if those versions are also vulnerable.

If you are a fan of action games, namely shooting games, you'll probably love the two games being offered for "free" for PlayStation Plus subscribers for June 2020. The games are none other than Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II.

Sony just delivered a little care package to PlayStation Plus users today. This comes in the form of an early announcement for June 2020's free PlayStation Plus game offerings. Well, offering. Singular. See, they only announced one title so far and that title is Call of Duty: WWII.

The lack of a single player campaign sure as hell doesn't seem to matter to most of the gaming world, as evident by the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has pulled in over $500 million (USD) in worldwide sales just over its launch weekend.

To put it perspective, that is about the same amount that Call of Duty: WWII pulled in last year. However, it is down ever so slightly from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that pulled in over $550 million in its first three days.

Just a little notice to inform you that there is currently a free weekend for the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: WWII going on right now for the PC version of the game.

This free weekend runs from now until Sunday at 1PM (PT). It also includes a 35% off offer that runs until Monday at 10AM (PT).

Yesterday, it was revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII was going to ditch the single-player campaign due to unspecified "development issues." A new trailer, entitled The Darkest Shore, came out today for Call of Duty: WWII. The trailer is for the upcoming Resistance DLC for the Nazi Zombies mode in the game.
