Outriders is a New IP from the Bulletstorm Developers

Sounds like People Can Fly's most ambitious game yet.

People Can Fly, the studio behind games like Bulletstorm and the Painkiller franchise, just announced their latest action title this evening at Square Enix's E3 event. It's called Outriders and it's looking to be a sci-fi shooter featuring drop-in-drop-out co-op for 1 to 3 players.

It's currently in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is targeting a Summer 2020 release window. People Can Fly says that they have "over 200 developers at four international studios working on this project."...

Gearbox Pulls Out of G2A Deal; Blames People Can Fly

To nobody's real surprise, Gearbox announced today that they have pulled out of their deal with notoriously shady key reseller G2A. The initial deal had G2A selling a number of exclusive versions of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition to consumers. This move comes just a couple of days after the partnership was announced and just a day after Gearbox gave G2A a list of demands that they wanted fulfilled or else they would pull out of the deal.

The demands stipulated that G2A had just under a day to make sweeping changes to their policies. Gearbox's head of publishing, Steve Gibson, issued a statement today on the newly dissolved partnership.

Gearbox Partners with G2A One Day, Threatens to Kill Partnership the Next

Yesterday, Gearbox announced a super controversial partnership with G2A, a "grey market" retailer of PC game keys. The partnership had G2A being an exclusive retailer of some special editions of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. Man, the Internet was pissed. G2A is notorious for their shady business practices so to see a fairly large studio like Gearbox actually partner with them was kind of beyond the pale.

Cut to today where Gearbox is now threatening to kill the partnership with G2A unless they make some substantial policy changes. Oh, this is just delicious. Gearbox issued a statement to Kotaku saying that they will terminate the partnership...

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Announced with Special Guest Duke Nukem

Gearbox isn't letting their Duke Nukem IP go completely to waste. Tonight during The Game Awards 2016, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford showed up to announce a remastered version of Bulletstorm for the PC, PS4, and XB1. It's called Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and features updated visuals, better audio, new game modes, and more. Most notably among these new additions is the ability to play through the game as Duke Nukem.

Yes, the entire campaign can be played through as Duke Nukem. The one, the only, Duke Nukem. Hell, we already know that Bulletstorm is great so at least it can wash away the taste of Duke Nukem Forever from your mouth.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Rated in Brazil for PC, PS4, and XB1

Bulletstorm looks like it might be making a long-awaited return! A recent classification filing in Brazil lists a "Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition" for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

It looks to be published by Gearbox. The IP rights to the game are still owned by People Can Fly after they bought the rights back in 2015. The title certainly doesn't sound like a sequel but rather a remaster for current generation hardware. It also probably means that the PC release will no longer be tied to Games for Windows Live! There is no formal announcement yet for the game, so all we have is a massive amount of speculation...
