Enter the Gungeon Hits 3 Million Copies Sold

A great number for a great game.

Dodge Roll Games announced today that their game, Enter the Gungeon, has now surpassed 3 million copies sold. For those of you who don't know what Enter the Gungeon is, think of it as a mashup of a bullet hell with a dungeon crawler with a healthy dose of roguelike included.

There is a lot of replayability with the game, with tons of weapons and items to unlock, secrets to find, multiple characters to discover, and even multiple "endings"...

  • Steambirds Alliance Announced - Free-to-Play Co-op Bullet Hell Game for up to 60 Players

Steambirds Alliance is a new, and unusual, title in development from Spryfox. The game sounds like very little else out there in the fact that it will be free-to-play, support up to 60 players in a game, and it's a co-op focused bullet-hell shooter. Like, you'll usually get games that have maybe one or two of those elements thrown together, but not all of them. They're also saying it's got some MMORPG elements included along with a heavy dose of customization.

    The overall theme...

Azure Reflections Takes Switch Owners to Bullet Hell Today

Nintendo Switch owners can dip their toes into the bullet hell stylings of Azure Reflections today thanks to Souvenir Circ. and the Sony publishing label UNTIES.

From what I'm reading here, this game is an "unofficial entry in the Touhou Project" which is a "series recognized by the Guinness World Records as the 'most prolific fan-made shooter series'."

Experience Bullet Hell in a Bikini in Hell with To Hell with Hell

To Hell with Hell is a new "bullet hell" style game that just happens to be set in Hell. Also, there are bikinis. Maybe that headline makes more sense now, yeah? On July 19, 2018 To Hell with Hell will enter into Steam Early Access via developer Lazurite Games and Deck13.

    Review: Nex Machina

A modern Robotron is alive and well in 2017 and it is glorious.

Nex Machina hits all the right notes with its modern twist on a classic gaming experience. Inspired by games like Robotron 2084 and Smash TV, Nex Machina combines the best elements of prior twin-stick shooters with impressive sci-fi visuals, an adrenaline pumping electronic soundtrack, tough as nails boss encounters, and a perpetual desire to play "just one more level." I dare say that Nex Machina is one...

    Assault Android Cactus Review

A fun, colorful, and fresh take on twin-stick shooters and bullet hell bosses.
It needs to be said upfront that I'm not normally a big fan of the "bullet hell" style of games. Even back during the height of Geometry Wars' popularity, I only managed to earn just four achievements before I hit a brick wall and ultimately never touched the game again for the better part of a decade. It's not that I hate that particular genre of games, it's more so that they hate me and my poor reaction times....
