Though major updates for Battlefield 2042 do seem to be over now, the party continues thanks to some in-game events. From Tuesday, October 29 through Tuesday, November 26 the "Circle of Hell" themed event for Battlefield 2042 will take place.

Season 7 is the last season for Battlefield 2042 and it is nearly at its end. However, DICE says that "support for Battlefield 2042 will continue." An unexpected crossover.

On Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 16 a crossover event will see Dead Space invading Battlefield 2042. For that limited time, Outbreak will be a featured game mode and players will also be able to get some Dead Space themed cosmetic items.

DICE just provided a new developer insight blog on the upcoming Stadium map coming to Battlefield 2042 on April 30th. The Stadium in question comes from the part of Hourglass that was removed when that map got its rework back in Season 5. Fans really, really wanted the Stadium to return and DICE listened.

DICE just shared the first details for the upcoming Crimson Front Event coming very soon to Battlefield 2042. Beginning on April 16 and running through to April 30th, the time-limited event will bring back the "intense tug-of-war experience" that fans first saw back in Battlefield 1.

DICE and EA are ready to bring Battlefield 2042 development to an end. Once Season 7 concludes, that will be it. There will be no more Seasons and no more new content. Seven seasons really isn't too bad considering the game was initially only supposed to have four seasons of post-launch content.

Bug fixes are incoming.

The seventh season of Battlefield 2042 launched last week alongside Update 7.0.0. This week, DICE shared news of Update 7.0.1 that they hope to deploy on Tuesday, April 2nd.

This update is a minor one, as you can probably tell from the version number. It does include a few game breaking fixes for issues that were seemingly introduced as part of Update 7.0.0, but nothing particularly major is included in this new update.

DICE and EA just shared the first proper look at Battlefield 2042's seventh season, Turning Point. This new season will begin on March 19 and includes two new maps, a new vehicle, new weapons, a new gadget, and various gameplay improvements.
