Has it really been a year already?

On January 28, 2019, publisher Deep Silver announced that Metro Exodus would be a timed-exclusive on the Epic Games Store (affiliate link). In the here and now, this is a fairly common pile of crap that we're used to seeing and experiencing. At that time, however, it was the early days of these sorts of announcements. Outrage was palpable. Tempers were on edge. And so on and so forth with the cliches.

Goodness, this launch of Metro Exodus has been a bit wild. The other day we saw from Deep Silver's technical support that there wouldn't be any preload of the game through Steam. The email response from Deep Silver literally said that they expect to see the most traffic going to the Epic Games Store version of the game.

The week of new Metro Exodus reveals continues today with word of a special bonus for those pre-ordering a physical copy of the game. Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today that Metro Exodus will include a Photo Mode. It will be included at the game's release, which just happens to be February 15.



Though the Photo Mode is included on all platforms (PS4, XB1, & PC), PC players will also get Ansel support. To add, PC players will also get the benefit of that lovely RTX tech to really make their screenshots stand out.
