They don't reveal their identity and yell about what they accomplished. They're talented coders and unlike you, they're mature.
of course they're selfish and only care about whats in it for themselves, after all they dont touch the game they like yet touch ours, thats really caring about others aint it?

why do they make hacks etc, for money ?

and as for don't reveal identity and yell about what they accomplished then why are they on totalbf2 in the first place..

I have to side with the TBF2 staff on putting this up. Anyone saying this post is "supporting hacking" or "saying it's right" is a fool. Yes, there are some morons out there that hack with the only intent but to make people angry, it's a fact of online gaming, and if you haven't accepted it by now, you, again, are a fool and very naive.

This person, from what the article reveals about their character, falls into the category of someone who finds ways to hack as a personal challenge. From what they say, it doesn't sound like it's a huge challenge, and personally I'd rather they continue to do it until EA wakes the heck up and helps punk buster. Of course, as they stated, if someone gets banned it just means someone has to buy another copy, which right there is probably the reason EA doesn't do much about anti-cheating: the money from new CD-keys.

Any article that allows us to grasp why hackers hack is good imo. It sends a message out to EA that the only real way of producing a 'hack proof' game is to work hand in hand with their Anti Hack software providers (i.e. PB)

It's a great article because it highlights that exact point. It allows us to realise why people decide to hack a game and how. Sure it might give some publicity to 'cheating', but in the end, if EA were doing the job properly. We wouldn't be concerned about it, would we?

I don't understand how so many of you can come on here and complain, i'm sure some of you have bunnyhoped in the past, which in my book is just as bad as hacking (but thats whole different subject). At the end of the day, you may not agree with TBF2's release of this article, but ultimatly it sends out a valuable message to EA. Which i'm sure have read the article.

i didnt mean that tbf2 staff agree with hacks "my fault on that should of word'd it better"
but what i mean is why give a hacker web space an time on are forums "in which it is surposed to be are forums as its a community".an we are against hacks
and as most admins in here will tell you,you dont have to buy a new copy. just go in game an steal some ones cd key,
in which ive heard of admins already doin!
            not that ive done it

Cheating on BF2 is as intelligent as cheating on a server with nobody else on. What will an aimbot do against a tank, jet, helicopter? What will a wallhack do that friendly or enemy UAV can't?

If these guys thrive on creating hacks for games, let them, it's their right to do so, I still will not use them nor do I condone them, but I sure as hell am not worried about them.

So much hate and effort for something so trivial in its nature.

It's like a hockey dad beating up or pushing one of the other team's kids or his/her dad.

perhaps to a degree. But I dont think its their right.
In fact I gotta think that altering server communication or changing what the server is telling you, would be illegal. Not to mention, i gotta think that altering a game would be illegal as well. Especially within a game that has actual rules based on money/points. I mean servers in the ranked area.....means money. To alter anything within a ranked server.............gotta be illegal somewhere. NO matter how innocent.

First of all: I haven't posted here for like 5 months, and i doubt you read anything from me before that.

Second of all: These are my first offensive posts on these forums

Third of all: You have no idea who you are talking to. There's a lot of people that come from the bf1942 community that earned respect and have a reputation. When bf2 came out, the nice community bf once had was ruined by people like you who does not know the history of the community. You run around yelling in your CS language that i always openly abuse everyone. People that truly know me know that i'm not like that, and only amateurs like you make me offensive like this.

Its not promoting or associating. its called an interview, and in this case its an objective interview. No side is taken...

3=you where calling people names for no reason claiming that they were not mature just through a post that had no abuse to you or any one else.
4=yes respect is earned as ive earned mine in the real world but the repect ive got is totaly different than that of yours!reputation what reputation?
4=if you havent noticed this is bf2 not bf1942.
5=you are your own person no body forces you to be abuse so dont use that as a lmae excuse to worm out of things.
6=cs language? now your just being childish played it like 3 times didnt like due to hacks so gave it up"sorry to disapoint you there"
7=get alife an stop makin lame abusive posts for no reason, listen to what people say an dont abuse them with name callin for no reason!

                            H4wk,
I cannot understand your arguments. I mean no insult I just don't understand. You say these guys are testing themselves against Punkbuster, pushing the limits, etc,. You also offer that they are mature. Possibly they are but I have difficulty understanding it.
They choose to make us honest people victims to fulfil there own agenda. We are the ones who are cheated against and our time wasted. I'd call that selfish wouldn't you? They certainly don't hurt EA or Punkbuster. In fact, both these companies pass on their costs to us which means we get hurt again. So the reality is: they waste our time and our money.
I equate it to someone stealing my car and crashing it to prove a point to the manufacturer that it is not made well. They don't suffer, I do.
Some of us use BF2 to escape a little from normal life and to know there are people out there screwing with it because "they can" is not understandable or forgiveable from my side.
Perhaps you can offer me an explanation that will change my mind, not that it is your job to defend them. Perhaps you know of some good that they actually do. I am willing to listen and hoping to understand. I don't like to be angry if it not necessary.

EDIT: Instead of creating HACKS why not channel that energy in supplying PB with the holes and fixes??????

I agree with this post. Cheaters are about as bad as criminals in real life. And the fact that this subject was even brought to life in an article is bad enough.
