I think it looks pretty good. But like what others have said, i think its just another way for EA to make money, i mean BF2 came out like almost a year ago. But ill get it.

Don't dispair folks. The BF2 modding community will soon have presentable material and the BF2 disk will fall into the same catagory as its predecessor = a launchpad for DesertCombat.

A few whiney stat junkies may be upset but for the rest of us that just want a good game and could give a rats-*** about stats will be happy

I really hope the scores database converts over somehow... I don't want to lose all the hard work put into BF2 just because EA/Dice wants to push out a newer variant.

Is this one going to be as crappy and unbalanced as BFV was, the last interim product?

It looks like BF2 with a few mechs thrown in. Can't these guys come up with something more original? What's the big deal about this anyway? Looks like DICE has really become the pawn of EA.

Hopefully they'll form a new company and start a new game. Sounds like not much different than BF2.

damn guys stop scarin me, i want alotta peeps to stay with bf2, bf2 is the way to go, they makin bf2142 to win the most base rapers award, its gunna suck, 2142? AN ICE AGE?? MY KIDS ARE GUNAN DIE!!!! You're being very naive.

You really think they're going to put ANY effort into BF2 when they have a potential profit-maker in the works????

They'll release a gesture 1.3 patch that will probably create more bugs than we've ever seen - perhaps even on purpose so people buy BF2142 in desperation.
- Not that any true Battlefield fans would be interested in lasers, hovercraft, cloaking, blah blah blah.... what a load of rubbish.

I totally agree, i would never buy this futuristic crap... EA will probably release a desperation patch as stated before... This game could be made better than it already is by our community modders... what a load of rubbish.. they would probably shut down all BF2 servers so that people who wanted to continue playing would have to buy this game. And then they would have a "American Forces" booster pack that you could buy for another $30....i give this game a 0/10... id never buy it!:thatsbad:

Then most mods have become so mind numbingly unoriginal, they can't even save themselves, much less BF2.
