    Re: Battlefield 2142 Confirmed

There is no way in hell I am going to want to play this game, and there is no way in hell my 20+ member clan is going to either.

We go from M1A1 tanks right to mech like walking robots? WTH, EA? None of the Battlefield series fans/clans want a game like this. I liked BF:V, but remember what happened with that? Everyone kept playing DC.

The Battlefield series has, was and I pray to God will be a semi-realistic war game.

Pretty much everyone who played DC and BF2 loved it and it's time period. Modern war.

Not the past, nor the future. Modern.

How can you speak for all of the Battlefield series fans/clans, simply by posting it as being so?

Check the Battlefield message boards. Actually, some people are worse than me and complain about BF2 not being fixed in their' post, lol.

You're saying that you consider the "board" community to be all the fans and clans? You are sadly mistaken my friend.

As for "their BF2" not being fixed, I'm not sure what you mean, but I've been playing BF2 since the beginning, and other than the occasional bug/glitch, my game has run fine since the beginning.

The problems some of you may be having are considered "I - D - 10 - T" errors. They are very common.

          PEACE

Reading the preview it will still be semi realistic but with a new theme. All the guns will fire bullets in a similar way and act like current classes. All the tank styles are back. The game is still a BF game. Mechs are a new vehicle to go alongside existing types.

Lets go back to WW2 instead of all this futuristic crap, it's been done to death.

                      Re: Battlefield 2142 Confirmed

to be honest to all the people freaking out about where this is going, where did you expect battlefield 2 go to, they nearly nailed it with bf2 and even though its buggy and runs like a dogs body everyone still plays it which means its fun reguardless, now i for one an looking foward to see what they do with this 2142 sure they names a bit gay but its just a name, and if it turns out crap then so what they will just try harder next time coz lets face it the battlefield series is too big to just make 4 games, they will keep milking this for aslong as they can, though i do have to agree on one thing, its way 2 early, give us a rest from battlefield for a while and let us play quake enemy territories. Though also on another note, they could bring out this 2142 and just keep expanding bf2, then u get the best of both worlds but either way atleast we all wont have to wait long to see if this flops

This game looks like a lot of fun, provided that the game includes all advertised content, with out expansion packs to supplement the initial lack of depth. I can't really see EA charging $50 for a game based of an existing engine. That would be greedy.

Looks and sounds good to me as long as they don't use the same engine, I'd like something more graphically demanding, a level above BF2. Like you need 2 gigs of ram, 256 meg vid card and such.
Why is it soo hard for some of you to go from tanks to mechs, like you're going to give your 16 y/o heart a heart attack or something. That is like saying when asteroids came out it was too futuristic cause it was a spaceship blowing up asteroids. Learn to live with change

the screenshots i have seen for BG2142, show the game to be quite void of urban warfare, well what i mean is in-close quarters fighting and such.....

I wonder if people will be able to fire their futuristic weapon while jumping in the air? It would seem like by the year 2142 that we, as evolved humans, will have created the ability to use our finger and leg muscles at the same time. Hopefully, eventually, we'll get that whole, 'rub your tummy and pat your head' thing down.
