Re: Battlefield 2: Euro Force Released

How do I find out my bf2 accounts email address? I don't want to buy it for the wrong account and I can't remember what my email was.

Well nevermind, it seems that their software sucks. It doesn't work with IE7 so I can't buy it. Oh well. =\ I'm not downgrading my system to ie6 to buy a game.

Choosing a EA name was a joke....I just dont belive the fact that all of the combinations I tried using were being used.....it finally worked only when I chose one of their stupid @$$ ones.

Oh well once I finally got that done...good 30min wasted clicking on the dam OK for unsecure items stuff....I gave it my gamespy account, downloaded fine and installed fine. Works like a charm not a tone of servers but enough...anyhow I am happy now!

Re: Battlefield 2: Euro Force Released

I about given up on EA if this release is the best they can do.

First off the downloader wouldn't install I had to use my other dual boot to install it then run it from the other.
Second only one patch would download the others give the following message :-

              Error:7049:608 Restricted IP.
A request was made from outside the acceptable IP address range. You should try again; if that fails, the download service may be in error.

Tried for 24hrs still the same error.

Ok I got the patches else where.

I then got a CRC error on the Great wall, I've seen others with Great wall problems so I hope this is sorted soon

If this is the way forward I'll pass, I've downloaded other games and updates online and never had any problems once again it's EA causing problems.

well.. .... finally got EF paid /downloaded [after having to reset Gamespy account.. ....] / worried that wrong account selected + lost $10 / but successfully installed.

Found few servers up + running which was cool.

Great Wall definite winner of maps in my opinion. Support gun + sniper our excellent.
Challenger tank pretty cool but kinda prefer close urban fighting more.

                Ciao.

Lmao, not at ur problems with the game, but at the error message EA gave u "catastrophic failure". Out of all the f*cked up error messages i've seen from this game this has got to be the funniest, good luck on that 1.

                    hey,
i love this game. this game is freakin great. problems and all. it just takes time to figure out how to buy it.

all you naysayers, go check out ubi and their woes with lockdown. now talk about a joke. you can get the game fine but just TRY to join an online server. ha! and then they are going to dump RVS from their key servers so you wont be able to browse for servers.

now THAT is a joke! ubi could learn a thing or two from EA. at least EA admits some of their screwups and tries to address them

Also comments in the news section were not allowed to put down EA or any of their products anymore.
The news themselves can't be "EA-critical" either.

If they do not comply, they will have to "face the consequences", whatever that means.

This post will probably be deleted very fast, i might even be banned for telling you this. And no, im not kidding, this happened just the other day. I have a suspicion something similar is happening to this site. Is the site's new owner, "MY-IS" aware of, maybe even involved, in this?

                      I'm hoping not...
Are you making this up? Post the link where you heard this. I don't want to believe that EA is run by a bunch of Nazis, so you better have something to back up your claims.

No, i'm not making this up, as i said, i'm not even kidding.
It was posted in the news section of a danish BF2 news site, called www.bfgeeks.dk
This is the direct link to the newspost, it's in danish though: http://bfgeeks.dk/?page=nyhed&id=2545

Basically it says they stopped all communication with EA, and that EA wanted them to censor the forum, comments and newsposts.

This world is becoming a sad place to live in, if we allow this kinda stuff to happen.

Censoring like that is illegal... Atleast in the usa it is.

I don't think it is...at least not if the media's owner agrees to it.
