First off it is our right to complain about the actual bugs in this game. I paid 70$ for this game, it better as hell work.

Second of all, if the patches didn't screw anything up, rather they fix things, then maybe the gamers would JUST PLAY THE F-ING GAME...

Read up on the issues before you post nonsense. I still don't agree that they should have touched any of the "balance" issues until all the bugs had been worked out (through extensive patch testing) but it's too late now, and from what I've gathered is another extent of DICE and EA's pressure to release the patch before it should be.

        PEACE
You paid 70$ for the game and the game works, it's not a piece of crap that you have gaining dust.
Second, i don't see a major screw, i can kill, i can score, i can own you if you want, maybe you need to learn how to play the game ?!?!?

And if you think that the kits were balanced you should think about C4 whoring and other ways to score, maybe you are one of those players that don't like to do a sh*t and just play for the easy score because you are not skilled enough for more.

The kits now are more balanced then in the past, the correction in the claymores was fair, i saw a lot of servers with half of teams as snipers droping claymores. It's not wrong, since the game allowed you to do that, but it's not balanced, so now you can only drop 2.

So what i have to tell to guys like you is, play for more hours and get more skill, stop being noob.

And there is always a second option, if you don't like the game just sell your copy and stop playing.

Hell if Microsoft hotfix XP and 2003 server EVERYDAY stop whining about a game that in my mind is far more complex than the OS it runs on, think about it, take a 64 player map, how complex it must be for the server software and client software to sync up all those players and deal with multiple unknown Broadband connections via a multitude of ISPs across the planet. ITsNOT LIKE BROWSING A WEBSITE!

EA/DICE have given us a good product, it might not be perfect or never will be (has any MS OS - NO!) what they have given us is hours of fun and great gameplay, great graphics and realism, the ablity to jump in choppers and planes as well as run around in squads and blow the crap out of eachother.
Imagin this sort of game that allowed all this and the complexaty and map sizes, in 1996 this was a pipe dream, yeah we had Quake and Unreal - which were great multiplayers but far from perfect and no where near as complex or large.

I for one love BF2 even if it can be buggy and laggy if you step back and see what goes into it, the fact that 9 games out of 10 are lag free and play great for me more than make up for the fact that 1 game might be laggy (which is more than likley down to my ISP)

            Im happy.

You sould like a corporate plant.

A shill is an associate of a person selling goods or services, who pretends no association to the seller and assumes the air of an enthusiastic customer. The intention of the shill is, using crowd psychology, to encourage other potential customers, unaware of the set-up, to purchase said goods or services. Shills are often employed by confidence artists.

If dice have their developers posting here, I have no doubt EA has Shills working here.

I would but the resale value of BF2 is falling in prices quickly cause nobody is buying it after this b$.

We all waited patiently, some of us impatiently, for several weeks, waiting for BF2 to fix over 30 flaws with the 1.2 rev.

They delayed the release of Euroforce because of these major flaws.

After all this waiting they finally release rev 1.21 with only a few of those flaws fixed.

              That is pure laziness!

If EA and DICE thought people were upset with 1.2 problems. Well they are going to riot with waiting all this time for 1.21 and then most of these errors not being fixed.

              Thats what everyone is saying..

Personally, i liked the 1.2 changes with claymore and all that other stuff.

But, I HATE BUGS CAUSED FROM TERRIBLE PROGRAMMERS!

Like Red and Blue name tags!

Check my BF2 profile and you will see i have about 14 team kills since i bought the game when it first came out.

Well 9 of those team kills were recent, from me shooting a red name tag player that happened to be on my team,

Maybe they should have outsourced this project to India?

Instead of paying american programmers $80k to design a program flawed with bugs, they could have paid $6k for a programmer who designs a product without flaws.

FFs, there really are some retarded people here.

Fixed the error in Client - Server communication causing sound, animation and other sync issues.

This is a major fix and i for one would have been happy with this being the only one. Theres nothing worse than not hitting what you see, probably the AT issues and alot of others are sorted within this statement... Geeez, some of you need a brain..

Re: Battlefield 2 v1.21 Patch Released!

Need I remind you guys of the definition of icremental updates?

This patch is numbered 1.21. That means, from 1.2 to 1.21 its a .01 update. Simple math I guess. But what that really means is that its a pretty minor update. When looking at version numbers of things, the farther along the number is to the right, the least amount of changes were made. So, a 1.21001 patch would have very very little changes. The closer you get to the decimal point, the more massive the change in a program. So, if the patch were to go from 1.21 to 1.3, I'd expect some large changes. If the patch were to go to 2.0, which I doubt it ever will, then that woudl be a major upgrade.

A lot fo you guys are expecting this 1.21 to fix a lot of the long running issues. Its only a hotfix for the 1.2 patch. Most of those bugs mentioned won't be fixed until 1.3, or 1.4. You'll just have to be patient.

While the missle Zig-Zag has been fixed - the Jet-2-Jet missles accuracy is still the same - that sucks

                              Other than that, seems alright.

You obviously have no idea what a negative impact outsourcing has on project quality. Years ago coders from India were an excellent investment and many of them led to full-time positions and visas in the US. However to meet demand India now seems to be slapping kids through school and calling them code experts. I work on several projects involving outsourced code and most of it needs to be fixed.
Get a handle on real life man. Fixing code after the fact is one of the hardest things a coder can do. Especially if it is code they did not design themselves and if the original coder did not leave behind a good schema you're SOL.

I'm not saying the product or the company are perfect but saying that with a few good coders would fix this in a few days is just naive.

*PC disclaimer: I do not in general have a problem with coders from India this is solely based on personal experience with several on-going outsourced code for various projects. In the past we had great success doing so but in the past year or two there has been a steady decline with outsourcing we have been dealing with.
