The second item is on the topic of the booster packs. We have not created the maps as a separate expansion pack requiring a separate server. The booster packs will increase the content of the base game and thereby may be run on a server in regular rotation with the original maps.

Guess I'm the only one here so far who think this is very bad idea.First I wonna say that is a an extortion.Yeah I know lot of you will start to flame me...10$ is very cheep...tell you what...I'm not buying that s**t.Why?Well because they first sell half finished product...than for months they are trying to correct all bugs and finaly they are asking for more money.NO...not any more...EA?Dice will never get money from me again.
Yeah I knew that SF will be sequel of very "successful" exp packs for BF1942.They made same misstake again and now are trying to get more money on most filthy way I could imagine...All I hoped for was that somewhere in process they will alow custom made maps to be played on every server...the hell with statistics...but NOOOO...money,money,money...well F**K THEM.

Then that's your choice, =Yes=Overkill. Don't buy the booster, you seem to have your reasons for not purchasing it. I do not find your argument very convincing though.

LOL, man you must have bought the wrong version because my game was finished. I would get mad at the store that sold you the unfinished game. Does that mean that the buildings only have 3 walls or something ? or the hummers only have 2 tires ? I would like a screen shot of that

Well I hope there will be an easy way to tell when a server has a booster pack in rotation. Otherwise it's going to suck for people who don't have that specific booster pack when they get disconnected, and for the people still on the server who suddenly have 1/4 of the players they had on the last map. And to think people had troubly keeping their ranked servers occupied before this. :-/

The first item is on the topic of grenades. Players will still be able to toss grenades while jumping. Although the ability to fire while jumping has been removed, players will still be able to initiate a grenade toss prior to jumping and follow through with the toss, thereby gaining themselves some extra distance.

Wicked info, glad to know about that, now I don't think theres anything wrong with what the patch is doing...

Anyone know if there will be a retail version? I'm not big into the whole buy and download games idea quite yet.

Perhaps later but that's why yer getting it for 10$, if they packaged it and put a fancy cover on it and marketing, easily 30$, proly' more.

My guess is a few boosters at 10$ a pop, than later (Way Later), you'll see a Battlechest of BF2 schtuff containing everything.

Well, I'm excited.

The patch really does sound great, although with the two new unlocks in the patch, euroforce will have even less exclusive content, which I don't really like(Make all of it exclusive or none, It kinda sucks to pay 10 dollars for a few maps, 5 new guns, and 4 new vehicles).

I will probably buy the boosters, though special forces really doesn't interest me, and I see no reason to buy it.

Everything is allright with my version :) ,but do you remeber when game was relesed.Never in my life I saw so many complains related to a game.Before first patch I had problems with CTD...and to tell you the truth I saw few games that looks better and are less hardware demanding.Not to mention I both HL2 and got for free CS,CSS..and few other games ... thx to valve...and I bouth BF2 and got hadakes Also I think few years ago we had better support from EA or Dice (whatever)...we got patches for BF2 and few maps...and now we got patches for patches...and we have to pay for damn maps.Personaly I think that custom made maps are ,by some unwriten rule ,better than original.Now my only hope are guys that are working on mods...btw I can't wait for FH2...those guys always had some great ideas...hurry up please :)

Yeha but hte release of this 1.2 will be release until the first Booster Pack, Euro Forces is release. This is what they did with 1.12 when Special Forces was release.

Being able to rotate the booster maps along with vanilla maps is cool, but then not so cool when you find out that they haven't thought of a graceful way to handle players who don't have the booster packs when a booster map pops up.

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to it all.
