Umm, just because a game has issues/bugs, DOES NOT mean it'ss half-decent. Most people who play the game enjoy it and it's prob the best arcade FPS on the market at the moment. Heck, even game reviewers gave it a high rating (most above a 8/10).

Ever game has bugs. BF2's bugs are no where near some other games I have played before. Like, the only few bugs we really have are maybe... very rare now... the "Name bugs (haven't seen them since the first patch)... and... well.... maybe a couple of CTD but that's most likely caused by the person getting them as his/her computer didn't have the system requirements (as in proper GPU)... other then that... no other bugs that are "huge".

Everything else that you might have a problem with (noob tubers, bunny hoppers) is apart of the game... get use to it. The game isn't half-ass as it's prob one of the nicest looking games/nicest playing I have played for a long time.

Yeah, I don't know why everyone complains about the red name tag bug like it occurs every single round on every single server. I've had it happen to me ONCE. It's not a very buggy game once you're able to join a server (server browser is another story). I've had zero ctd, only time the game exits unexpectantly is occasionally when I alt+tab and than try to alt+tab back in.

NO!!!!!STOP SAYING THAT 10 bucks IS OK!!!! In march, the 3rd expension

will come out(assault someting)!!! 3 expension in a year!!!! Ok lets say

you paid 30$ for SF, anothers 10$ for euro... and anothe 10$ for the other

one. All this equal 50$!!!! You just bought another BF2!!!! Its worst than

WOW price!!!! The problem is not the money, it's the fact they are selling

3 expacks in a YEAR. Even The Sims(from EA actually) didn't beat thats:laugh:

Im just considering how mch cash they does with their boosters packs...

They are saying the 10$ price is to assume the devellopement costs of

each boosters pack. But 4 new maps doesnt cost so much to produce!!!!

Sorry for mmy bad english, im from Quebec

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

Is there just going to be new levels and vehicles in it? If so, doesn't interest me much. I love the normal BF2 and I'm sticking with it unless the booster/expansion packs are REALLY good.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

Before BF2 I was a CoD junkie. The multiplayer was strong with lots of game types and a new map included with each patch. The UO expansion pack was well developed and the maps INTEGRATED with the original game. Even when I retired that game for CoD2 it still was a blast to play.

Now I'm hopelessly addicted to BF2 because of the ranked gameplay. The concept is the best currently available; rewarding you for really playing as a teammate. Yea its flawed and too often public servers are just glorified team deathmatches, but everytime I land in a squad of real team players my addiction is fueled again.

All this BF2 gloss has a point. I'm a loyal BF2 fan. Why am I not important to EA/Dice. Why shouldn't I get a "thank you" content upgrade when they fix something in the game. Why shouldn't I get maybe one of the "boosters" for free to say thanks for riding out the rough times early on with the original release. I'm a loyal fan! You know you'll get my money for the rest of your expansions anyway! Am I asking too much?

EA/Dice could learn a thing or 2 from their competitors. Like maybe taking better care of the customers who already shelled out $50 for their product. It makes me wonder what they think of us.

Or if they think of us at all.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

Awesome. I have not even bought the SF yet, but the booster packs sounds cool. I have not played BF2 too long, but expansions like in sims keeps some who are bored with the the wide variety of maps, weapons and special devices.

Just a thought thugh. What about an additional class or different version of a class.

I am in the military and have been through air assault and I think it would be cool to repel out of a helicopter for a more precise assault. Just a thought.

Can anyone give me any details on these booster packs. I heard one was euro or something.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

This is not about the price of the booster packs. This is about the division that they would create to an already divided community.

Historically, maps and updates have been given for free because that is the only way to have EVERYBODY up to date with all maps and equipment. It would be unfortunate for new players to get kicked out of servers because they never downloaded the booster packs. It would also suck if you buy the game but still need to buy more expansions JUST TO BE ABLE TO PLAY.

They are already making money from the game (It cost us $50 if you forgot about it), renting the servers, advertisement, and now the realease of BF2 in Xbox and PS2. How much more money do we have to give them to actually enjoy the game? How much money do we have to give them to get a "fixed" game? Why didn't they just charge us $80 for a complete game including all booster packs, patches and maps? At least that way you could have a choice of not buying the game if the price seems to much for you. Now, we are stuck with the vanilla version with all of its flaws, a separate expansion pack with separate servers, and booster packs that have to be downloaded for a price forcing people to get them or deal with the anoyance of getting kicked out of servers.

What is the big idea? It is a video game not a cash cow. We want to continue supporting the game so that you can keep getting money. Dice/EA you will loose all that you got for being greedy!

I already stopped buying EA games long time ago. I just bought BF2 because I enjoyed BF:1942 and also BF:V. I got dissapointed when I found out EA was publishing this game.

yeah, its a shame they couldnt actually finish the original game
before attemtping to milk us all for every dime we got..

how about fixing these items FINALLY:

                          voting system useless
                          friendly-red-tag bug
tell us what map we're loading before you make us load it.
server browser still junk, unresponsive, locks up, hangs, inaccurate data.
and how about a buddy list ?
rpg goes right thru transport vehicles if shot at from front..
other bugs, too many to list..but the above are most annoying..

I did not purchase the SF pack.. I refuse to give EA any more of my
money EVER until they finish the original game.. I did, however play
the SF pack, and found it quite a waste of money.. looks like they
threw in some grappling hooks and threw together some junk maps
real quick.. and called it a mod.

Hopefully the mods will come out soon, but if I need a fix $10 isn't too hard on the wallet for new content.
