H4wk, for someone who is against bitching about models, you are being a bit snidey lol. IMO David's AK is very competently made, and true to the dimensions of the gun (but what would i know, im just a tester (MeeoooW!) )) (jk)

This thread should not be closed, cos its about showcasing and constructive critisism of the Dcon models, as long as posters use it for this purpose, then i see no problem.

BTW - The Forum IS F*cked, this post could end up at the top or bottom of the thread, or in an entirely different forum like PidgeonFanciersOnline.org, but im still gonna post it.

First of all i wasn't complaining at the model, it had nice parts. But it didn't look like it was made by a 'good' modeler. (for all we know, he could've stolen it from his lil bro, and claim that it is his )

I read the first two pages of this thread. No single constructive critic in there. Bashing started from page 2 to page 6 (and probably it will go further than this one).
For us, DCon mod, there's no use for this thread, unless the generic critics start coming up.

As i said this thread is for showcasing, let other posters see past the bitching, and let them give their opinions on the new renders, thats what its for. If its closed then they dont have the opportunity.

Ive been a DC junkie for years (and BF2 is just methadone) IMO your skins are an improvement on the original buildings, and it'll be great to see what you can achieve. Bitching is not the way, both teams are trying to make great mods.

BTW - got an email from some guy from EvangalistVeganPies.com forum, he thinks the house looks good too, and he agrees our forum code is F*cked

Its funny how "we shouldn't 'copy' a design" or "try to be more original in the design of our models"... What modern day combat game never uses the design of a real-life objects?

I don't understand the mentality that some of you fellas exhibit. What compels you to aim these derogatory remarks at our mod?

For a moderator in this forum, it should be obvious that there are some individuals who feel that DCON is a rival to them and their mod. So, they come into this thread and frivulously accuse us of violating some copyrights without any sort of proof or purpose other than to vent some bile. Then We're accused of being unoriginal. And finally, to top it off, we're accused of getting some undeserved "fame" because we supposedly ride on the Desert Combat bandwaggon.

It's an open-and-shut case of "take it or leave it" - if you don't want to play a Desert Combat mod for BF2, then it's simple for you...don't.

Our mission and goal is clear for all to see. We make no excuses for it, because we believe in this idea. We also have every good reason to believe that there are many gamers out there who likes it. If you're not one of them, goodluck to you in whatever else you wanna play, but try and show some class and stop crying "foul" at our doorstep.
