There is a new update today posted on the <a href="http://www.desert-conflict.org/" target="_blank">Desert Conflict</a> mod website. They have some new media to showcase, take a look:<blockquote>Here are some renders of our new Africa-style Houses. These will be used in maps such as Lost Village, Gazala, and El Alamein. We tried to stay along the same lines as the BF42 ones, but keep them our own and in line with DCON statics. Hope you like them!</blockquote><center><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/AH4.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_AH4.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/AH10.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_AH10.jpg"></a></center><br>To view the rest of these models in this update, head on over <a href="http://www.desert-conflict.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1124" target="_blank">here</a>.

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
Why not come up with new and original buildings? To me it seems like you guys aren't very imaginitive when it comes to structures if you have to copy stuff from BF42 even if you add a few new parts to make it look different. If you want your mod to stand out and be unique come up with an original style.Comment

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
how are these buildings copies from BF42? i must of missed a patch or something... even so, i think every1 is (yet again) underestimating the affect dynamic lights and shadows have on the in game "look" of a model. i am just very pleased to see that you guys are working on additional statics as i am sure a lot of the lower end mods will not... this will, at the end of the day, give your maps a greater level of depth and detail - how can any1 complain about that?
dont pay attention to stonedwolf guys - he has a nack for posting crap...
that and he has no ability in the area... kind of like a check out chick complaining that his car isnt running because his engine is dirty... it makes no sense and is coming from a complete tard.
nice work DC - you certainly seem to be moving along at a steady pace.....
so when do we get our mini beta?

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
thanks for praising hoofer's modeling capabilities. He's got modeling talent. Modeling exactly how your reference look is pretty hard.
In this case the references are the bf42 buildings. Not much people can do that.
Btw Munchies, your sig is wrong. You belong these so called '97%' :)Comment
