yes, but if you think about it, it is very easy to go up in the ranks up to staff sargeant.
once you get to that the points needed to the next rank are from 8000 to 25000. this means that if you start a new profile everything will make sence. but for all of us that are already high in the ranks the system is just trying to convert our points into our appropriate rank according to the patch. everything is going to be ok once things start to settle down.
because of the point scheme we should have both enlisted and officer ranks all the way to 4 star general. maybe even warrent officer classes.
on the other hand there are alot of things wrong with this patch that i will not get into since every one else will cover them fully, i am sure.
if you pay attention to when patches are implimented you will notice that every once and a while there is a hotfix directly or close to release of the patch. this hotfix usually fixes issues brought into the game by the patch.
we (hopefully) should be getting one with in about a week or so maybe longer...
