Desert Conflict Mod Update

The <a href="http://desert-conflict.org/forum/showthread.php?t=564" target="_blank">Desert Conflict</a> mod forums has been updated recently with a brand new map preview video. The video shows us their upcoming map, 73 Easting. Check out the download links below:

Instead of the same old screenshots we decided to do a short film of the map. This map is great for all out long range tank action, but please note this is a map preview and we still hav'nt got as far as putting all our own models into game yet. just can't help thinking this desert conflict mod is going to suck, it's just a rip off of desert combat. i'm willing to put money down that it will never be as good as dc if it even gets finished...

why didn't they just do an original concept instead of trying to leech from the popularity of others?

Movie was very well done. Looks awsome.

However I hate BF2 tank combat....slow projectiles....tanks need some sort of zoom.....granades shouldn't damage them....etc. When you ssee a tank you should bee like "Holy sh*t!!!" thats is....if you even see it before your dead.

In Vanilla BF2 due to the fog and plus the draw distance on vehcles SUCKS which results in tank fights beeing 10 meters away from eachother....

yeah, they definitely need a zoom option...but I don't think grenades are a problem...they don't do that much damage

and also, that map wasn't done in DC, it was done in BF2

Well, from what I've heard it is the same team that made Desert Combat and they want to make it like the old DC.

it's not being made by trauma studios, they do have one of the beta testers from desert combat, but lot of people who really were beta testers for desert combat have said in forums they've "never heard of this guy before", so it looks like he's lying...

and also, that map wasn't done in DC, it was done in BF2

this map is a straight "port" of a desert combat map (with some small "improvements"), but since these guys have no right to use the map i don't think they should have done it. it also seems to be the only map they want to talk about.
